Denied flex pay, took money
Simply stated my bank account was charged 5 times using flex pay amount when I only ordered 1 time but was denied flex pay and they canceled my order. Approximately over $900.00 in charges and no tv. It looked like I purchased 5 TVs. I will be reporting to BBB, attorney generals office, and police because this is illegal! Too many people with same complaint. Refund my money immediately! HSN should be held accountable for their process of taking customer’s money with no intention of sending merchandise! I will also be writing the president of the company along with names attached of every person whom I’ve been in contact with. I will also be contacting major news organizations. I’m sure they will be very interested in what a long time, supposedly, “reputable” company is doing to their customers. You think that could hurt your business a bit? Head lines “Beaware of using flex pay on HSN, they deny/cancel your order and still take your money!” And don’t think it won’t happen to you because you are a long standing customer, it’s their new procedure they put in place. They could hold your money up to 30 days! It’s Monday, you have had my money since Friday, I expect to see it back in my account no later than tomorrow!!!
I really am sorry for the inconvenience the authorizations on your account is causing @tippie56. I’ve sent electronic requests to your financial institution to request the funds be released. The time frame as to when the funds will become available is dependent upon their release of funds policy.
This should not have happened in the first place! It is more than an unconvince and stating such to everyone that the company has done this to multiple times is beyond acceptable of a mere apology. This was no accident . A company’s procedure to withdrawal monies immediately from a costumer’s account with knowledge that the merchandise will never be sent should be sent to the proper authorities as a warning to consumers. This prodedure should be revamped and withdrawals should only be made when the merchandise is ready to be shipped. Please forward this to your supervisor and have it escalate further. I expect a response to this matter. It is serious and I am still moving forward with it. Be assured that if it does not get rectified with a new process, the public will be informed of what this company is doing. It is unethical and HSN will lose business.
