It would of been nice to know ahead of time that the item I orded can not be picked up at UPS center. I would of made arrangents to have someone at the property if I had known this. I spoke to UPS and they could not even extend delivery for another day. I spoke to HSN rep and she said the item I ordered HP printer has restricted delivery options.Because that is how HP has it set up. No pick up at UPS only signed delivery. HSN should of provided that info from the get go. Very disappointed.
Today is the last attempt for delivery and no one will be home it will get sent back to HSN. That is so messed up.
The item was a gift for someone.
Requiring a signature upon delivery is, in no way, a special delivery instruction. Many companies require signatures, and to expect HP to ship a printer and not require signature is what is unrealistic.
Additionally, the major carriers do allow one to redirect delivery, have it held, or specify redelivery. In this case, it appears that the poster waited until it was too late to make arrangements.
With the amount of package thefts we see reported on the news, one should applaud that signatures are required for more expensive merchandise.
While it is good that CS responds to emails, I have to say I am disappointed Ryan in your response to the OP. You offered to help process her refund and completely ignored the point of her post in that HSN should be listing any special delivery instructions on the item description page so the customer knows up front how the item will be delivered.
The response I would have expected from HSN was to say "we will look into providing more detail delivery information in the future".
linda2115, I’m very sorry this has happened with your recent order. Please let us know when the tracking information shows that the item is being returned and we can expedite your refund.
