Hello I am looking to cancel a order that is in packing status
I can hear the complaints already…too big, no top zipper closure, don’t like the leather…etc. Why they have to make their bags so large is beyond me.
And in reference to another post that worked at HSN, I don’t feel so alone now not being crazy about the hangers. I’ve had several break from putting clothes on them and I’ve had numerous hooks detach.
As long as they make money they don’t care.
And Joy really needs to do something about her laugh I imitated it and it isn’t normal :womanhappy:
Oh joy! I got the pleasure of going from watching 2 great peaceful hours of Andrew and soaking up some health advice last night, to BOOM…….Joy and Amy screaming about some purse/ backpacks, before the TS airing. Obnoxious as all get out! What does Joy do to these hosts? I like Amy. Never seen her like that before though. Then Joy actually says that her TS bowling bag is better than S&X! HSN will probably edit this but Joy said it and it’s on the video clip of the TSV. WOW! Very tacky! Joy was saying that the bag is worth thousands of dollars! Really??? Get a grip!
I bought a bag when they aired the first edition of the bags, and after using it on a few occasions I noticed the bag began to pucker and soon thereafter, it began to fray. The leather got stiffer and stiffer. I made a promise to myself that I will not buy another bag and/or luggage made by them. It’s truly pathetic that customers are losing their hard-earned money on such poor quality merchandise.
On another note, unless I’m having hearing problems, but didn’t I hear Joy and her side-kick, Shannon, state that last week was Joy’s last TS for the year? If I’m correct, then why is Joy back with another TS? I suppose the difference is that Iman is a part of the TS.
And, Shannon now has a new word added to her vocabulary. It’s ……*honestly*. Seriously, there isn’t a correlation, e.g., Shannon and honesty are incompatible. LOL.
I worked for HSN about 8 years ago. The reviews on her hangers were not good. However considering at the time, the sheer volume of hangers we sold versus the complaints were sort of a drop in the bucket. I truly told people who inquired about the reviewas that compared to the amout of hangars she sold at the time to the reviews, many people who were pleased don’t take the time to post positive reiews. The return on her hangers were not a huge issue at the time.
Move foreward to now. I understand that many of you ladies had issues with your Joy/Iman hanbags. However if she was having nothing but negative issues with the company she would not still be on HSN. Why would they keep a partner who has more returns and issues than the profit that partner is making for the ompany. A business just would not do that. Bottom line.
I have no horse in this race, jut my perspective. She generates profits and although many people don”t like the quality of the Joy/Iman bags, Most are happy with the purchases. And I could ot see Iman constantly partnering with Joy on the purses and luggage to brig her own brand down.
I am 57 years old and I can remember when I was in high school my folks bought me a handbag – hobo style in British tan they spent a fortune on that bag at least for them. The zipper pulled away from the fabric. The store had a new zipper put into the bag. I still have that bag today. The leather still looks like new. I don’t use it so much now because I would load it up too much and I have a bad shoulder 🙂 Its been a few years since I was in high school. I’m keeping the bag now more as a remembrance of my folks.
I bought last years’ and have yet to use it. It is huge. I had no idea the quality was so poor. Reading these posts makes me wary. I would have gotten this one in Navy, so glad they didn’t have it in navy.
I like the Shape of their TS, but I don’t like all of the pockets/ organization. I also like a different color/pattern for the lining.
I have a few of Joy’s man- made material bags and I like those … But, I don’t buy Joy’s leather.
On a different note though – what sweater is Iman wearing in the TS picture? Very nice sweater.
I agree completely. I have been burned by the quality of every Joy item I’ve bought. Unfortunately I bought two of her earlier bags as I was impressed by the colors and dividers. The handles starrted peeling after a few weeks and the quality of the leather was, as others said, worse than many better quality vinyl and cloth bags. I never used the second bag, too late to return so I just gave it to a thrift shop. I generally only buy leather bags, but Joy and Iman no more. I also bought their previous set of bifocal sunglasses – three out of four pairs fell apart almost immediately.
Meezer you weren’t the only one who got a dud in those bags.
The reviews were terrible and HSN even pulled the reviews for awhile when they were going 2-1 against the bag. When the reviews came back they had been sanitized and only showed mostly good reviews. There was quite a bit of talk about it at the time.
I can’t believe they keep on making these bags. But they count on buyers being drawn in by the color and the shape and not realizing the quality issues until it is too late to return them.
The one I bought was defective when I got it. The thin leather is glued to cardboard and was already bubbling and pulling away from the backing when I opened the box.
And when I called about it they told me to send it back, and wanted ME to pay the postage for a defective bag. Umm no, that wasn’t going to fly with me.
I will admit that the colors of the bags are nice. But the only thing this bag has common with the $1,000 bags they are comparing it to is the shape. Joy certainly has a way with ‘borrowing’ other peoples ideas and then making them in inferior quality.
Why aren’t more manufacturers making bags and wallets with RFID protection? This bag looks too big for my taste. I did get one of the domed purses and it started to come unsewed – it was within the 30 day trial period – I am a very careful person with my items I was pretty disappointed. Perhaps I got a dud…If you are interested in buying this for yourself this is a nice time to buy it because of the extended return policy
I can’t believe they are selling another bag. The 1st one I bought for my daughter fell apart in about a month, the leather is very inferior. Hope these are made out of better quality materials, I had to go all the way to the manufacturer to get my money back on the 1st one. This is a good time to buy as you can use it until Jan. and return it if it falls apart. If you get it, use it on a daily basis so you can test out its qualily. I say buyer beware!!!
Their bags are made with the lowest possible grade of leather… split cowhide. Yes it’s leather, but you would be better off with a high quality faux leather bag.
I fell for the hype once, NEVER again.
