BEWARE! HSN policy is not to take responsibility for….
I initially posted this in the fashion section but I think this section is more appropriate.
Hsn does not take responsibility for packages delivered by UPS and left on your doorstep. A package was allegedly left on my doorstep by UPS which I never received. I contacted HSN and informed them I never received the package. The representative agreed to resend the order with 3 of the 4 items ( one was out of stock) while they do an investigation on the package. I received the 3 items and was told by the representative I would be billed only for the 3 items. Recently I received a letter stating they had finished their investigation and determined the package had been delivered. I contacted HSN and was told by the representative that I would only be billed for the items I received; she would take care of it. I have now received a second letter and again I called HSN and this time I was told if I disagreed with HSN conclusion I should take it up with UPS or I will be billed for the missing package and the replacement package. I spoke to a representative and then a senior account specialist named Brian. Brian promptly gave me the telephone number to UPS and told me it was between me and UPS since the investigation concluded the package was delivered. HSN takes no responsibility. So I had to spend the morning trying to get through to UPS to argue about the investigation so I won’t be double billed by HSN. Why should I have to fight with UPS. Can you believe this!!! It should be between HSN and UPS. I will update when I get a resolution. Anyone else had this problem.
Sadly packages being stolen has become a common thing. All a company can do is ship our packages. There is no way to assure more than delivery conformation.UPS is very good at following any complaints and can track exactly where the package was delivered.I have had to request their help regarding a delivered package a couple of times.
It is up to the customer to arrange for a safe place to have the package delivered. If I am not going to be home on a delivery day I request them to hold my package either for pickup or delivery on another day.Once they place the package on a porch or a specified area they have fulfilled their obligation.Security cameras are a must now for determining what happens to a lost parcel. The cameras come in all price ranges and a simple one just to monitor the front porch can be found very inexpensive. It also shows proof that it was delivered and who came on the porch afterward and what happened to the package after delivery.
Most apartments have cameras in the halls and the office can view footage and see exactly who took the package. If not in the halls then at the entrance.Troubling that its come to this but seems to be that way most places.Porch Pirates are everywhere now.
I have had packages stolen that were left by UPS outside my apartment door. The items were on flex-pay. HSN refunded the flex-pay I paid. Since the items in the colors I had ordered was no longer available, I could not get a replacement. When I called HSN, the rep was very understanding. To my knowledge HSN did not do an investigation. Took me at my word.
I’m sorry you are going through this ordeal with your packages.
