Beware- Comenity Bank Poor Service
Like others, I canceled my HSN card. My return was processed by HSN on 8/16. HSN disregarded my note stating I canceled my zero balance HSN card and to please give me Spendable Kash instead of a credit on my closed HSN card. I have been trying to get my $101.44 refund from Comenity. They claim they mailed a check on 9/19/17 and it was delivered by USPS on 9/21/17. They don’t have a tracking number since it’s a deal they work out with USPS to receive delivery confirmations (he said just like their bills) without any type of tracking number. Therefore, they can’t provide any proof check was delivered. Jim at Comenity said since the check wasn’t cashed, if I provide them with my savings or checking account number, they can do a wire transfer. I am insulted that they think I am that gullible to believe the check was delivered. This is a prime example of a runaround and confirms all the negative online reviews about Comenity. Furthermore, I will not provide them with my savings or checking account numbers. Better Business Bureau and government banking regulations are my next moves. Thanks HSN for making me work for my money. Horrible customer service.
@southernlights55- so sorry to hear this has happened to you. Sounds like a crock to me as they could run a tracer on that check as they do have access to that check number on file. Isn’t there a certain amount of days that a check has to be cashed or it is void? I hope this gets rectified for you soon. Really gives a lot of food for thought on the card.
Thanks Tamrick. I finally received my $101.44 check today. 2 months is ridiculous. I’d still be waiting if I hadn’t stayed on top of it. Like I said above, for Comenity to claim they have a secret delivery tracking on every envelope but can’t provide to customer delivery confirmation number seemed like the double secret probation scene from the movie Animal House. This could have been avoided if HSN’S shipping and receiving department actually read note about Spendable Kash. I will NEVER do business with Comenity Bank again.
Yes, Angela, I posted this thread twice. Once on Customer Service with hopes one of the mods would have taken my experience to upper management. This is HSN’S chosen bank for HSN’s card. Seems like after too many complaints, upper management would reconsider relationship. Second thread was on the TAY so others could read and learn from my experience. Most don’t read the customer service thread.
Hi @southernlights55! I am truly sorry that you haven’t received a refund for your order, yet. I can understand your frustration. From the details provided, it sounds like Comenity has been taking the proper steps to help. If there is an overage, a check will be sent. I apologize that you didn’t get it, yet. They can still void the check and either send another, or it sounds like they were able to offer other solutions. Rest assured, we always do our best to ensure that you are properly refunded. I do recommend speaking with Comenity at 888-724-6649 to review further options for this refund.
