At my wit’s end with HSN! – Customer Service Help and Input please
My problem has been going on since early October. Right now I have NO faith in HSN as far as delivery dates, items being restocked or getting ANY packages in time for Christmas!
First was the craft day shipping problems – (and other categories as well)… Eventually reading the posts it had something to do with the warehouse). By now, these problems should be resolved!
Then there is the ‘chat’ function. I’ve tried twice with 2 different people and am wondering where these reps are located? Are they in the US? Do they have a good understanding of the English language? (how about: I”m sorry your items were not shipped as you requested…would you like to cancel your order?” (uhm… item finally shipped and I can cancel my item???)
So to back up a bit. Around the beginning of Oct. I ordered some craft supplies and a beauty item. I requested it be sent expedited. Well, low and behold! I get notice of “Extended Delivery”…. I wait a day or two and need the item for a gift, so I find something similar and order it – shipped expedited…. Did it? NO! – from one side of the US to the opposite – GROUND! – so 2 items not arriving on time. Twice, in what? 3 days?
Last Christmas HSN advertised an item for Christmas. Again, ‘extended delivery’….. by mid December I figured it wouldn’t come in, so I bought something some where else. A few months later the item was still showing as ‘extended delivery’ – months later! And finally cancelled. I did call and was told it would be back in stock! And it never was.
So I have NO expectations this year will be any different. Why? Read below:
Today I order a SSC item. According to the host on air, 2000 are available for immediate delivery, Yes, Immediate.
I order – and then see: “Extended Delivery” ………. HUH? Delivery DECEMBER 16th! (not trusting that!)
I go back to the tv – about 10 minutes later they are counting down to ‘1,000 available for IMMEDIATE delivery’………. What’s with that???? Why would I get extended delivery 15 minutes ago and you are NOW – LIVE – saying ‘immediate delivery’.
I’m afraid my Christmas shopping is going elsewhere. There has been enough frustration and disappointment. And customer service people who have a good grasp of the English language – and perhaps even! – TELL THE TRUTH.
Sorry, for the rant, but this seems unacceptable for a company that has been in business for many many years.

Hi there! I’m sure you’ve seen all around these boards that these have all been CHRONIC problems with HSN for at least 8 or 9 months. I have had the exact same experience that you have more times than I can even accurately recount. Many of us have the same issues and I, like you, will not be purchasing any items from HSN for the holidays because I have NO FAITH that they will arrive in time or actually BE AVAILABLE at all. Common problems now being posted about across these boards: items spending days/weeks in packaging, delaying their delivery even if “expedited” shipping is paid for; items being sold on air as IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE only to be oversold (oops!!) or upon check out the customer discovers that the item is actually on extended delivery; warehouse “issues” that are apparently still on-going; items arriving cramped inside boxes that are too small; CS reps giving different responses each time you contact them (one other poster said she got SIX different answers about a problem she was experiencing), etc. etc. Things are much different and much worse. HSN used to be a trusted go-to for me last year…no longer. Even tonight, an Iman bag that sold out earlier today (that I missed out on) is listed on the site as sold out, but they are still displaying it on set and the models are still carrying it even though it isn’t available anymore…it’s all just become too much for most people to trust. I hope you get any items you are still waiting for very soon!
I have to add: I also have a small item in packaging for 7 days!
I hope someone answers and helps restore my faith in HSN as a viable alternative to shopping elsewhere.
