I wonder if they feel the market is shrinking or maybe sales weren’t as high as expected. I know there seems to be an ongoing problem with a shortage of some machines during a TS. Causes a lot of frustration and disappointment. This has been going on for a couple years. I think many crafters were tired of the disappointment and found another source. It’s too bad because 4 or 5 years ago HSN had some good craft events.
Create and Craft are selling a die cutting machine called the Cut N Boss. It’s automatic like the Gemini but MUCH better. The plates are thick like the Cuddlebug so no warping. I got a used one on Ebay and it is miles better.
Wow! I never knew… I have DISH but use a special list of channels that I watch, to avoid all the junk. Went in and added this (channel 221 indeed).
Thanks for the info.
Thank you for posting about Create and Craft. I didn’t even know this channel existed. I found them on my Roku.
I did buy from Create and Craft but I find the style of the UK brands a bit old fashioned and without the elegance of Anna Griffin.
As far as the hosts I do agree that they should allow the experts to instruct and present more and they should just guide the conversation not dominate it. It’s rude and annoying. Honestly I usually watch with the sound turned off so I don’t get so mad. But a few of the presenters from the UK are a bit like used car salesmen in their presentation, won’t mention names but I’m sure it’s pretty evident
I thought the CC monthly “kit” looked great, especially for the ALLINCLUSIVE price of $24.95!
In addition I Only bought a couple of AG dies.
This is supposed to be National SCRAPBOOKING Month (at least according to HSN) !!! Not national CRAFT Month. So, where are the scrapbooking items that are on sale???? I would love to buy some scrapbooking items, but they aren’t on sale!!!! Take 596-215. Any items that have scrapbooking in the item title aren’t on sale!!!!!!
Leah16, and others, I also have become a loyal Create and Craft customer for the past 2+ years they’ve been airing in the USA. They are available on Roku, Amazon firestick, etc. if you don’t have Dish. They spoil their customers with incentives, payment options, awesome customer service, professional presenters and demonstrators, and a dizzying array of stock for just about everything craft. I love HSN for many different types of goods and they are pretty much the only major shopping network in the USA that even accommodates National Craft events, but they just aren’t geared for what it takes to successfully connect with crafters and artisans. Create and Craft has over 15 years dedicated to providing an outstanding shopping experience for all crafters.
Agree Leah16…rude, obnoxious, pushy, annoying Hosts. They all need to be retrained
I agree that they need to show different kinds of crafts and different
brands, in addition to who they already present on the air. They should
ask some of you guys to be on their advisory panel about this, to give
them good suggestions…….I think this would shake things up, in a
very positive way! JollyJelly
One thing I have noticed about the various cutting machines, especially the electronic expensive ones, is there is no mention of a warranty. Only a 30-day money back guarantee to send it back. For machines that expensive, why would they not offer warranties or am I missing something? They have them with vacuum cleaners and other devices for at least 1 or 2 years. I see a lot of people complaining that their machines broke and they can’t do anything because the 30 days are up so they can’t return it. I know they have some 3rd party warranties that you can purchase along with the machines but that shouldn’t be necessary, it should come with it.
I’m sorry to say that I am done with HSN crafts. It’s just too frustrating listening to the hosts interrupt the guest who is the one we want to hear from in the first place. We all keep writing these blogs complaining about it and no one at HSN seems to care. One of the hosts even apologized for NOT talking enough because that is what they are suppose to do. That means HSN doesn’t care that we are all upset about it and probably will not change in the future. I’m tired of the same guests, the extended deliveries, canceled orders and at times inferior products. It just all seems to be a mess. I have been getting my crafts at “Create and Craft” out of England on DISH. Love Tattered Lace and Cutting Craftorium. AND it’s all about the demonstrations. Going to pay off my HSN card and that’s it. Nice talking to you all over the years. Hope they will listen in the future.
I LOVE Crafter’s Companion, We R Memory Keepers and Xyron items and will continue to watch and buy them. I do agree that this has not been a very good representation of National Craft MONTH. If they called it “DAY” I think we would all be more accepting. When HSN advertises as “MONTH” then I think we all have expectations of seeing many crafts throughout the month. On the HSN website there are many more items than ever hits the “live” presentations. Why? I feel sometimes they try to push so much into a very limited amount of time and limit the presenters that the demonstrations are lacking. Thank goodness for YouTube! The hosts sometimes get in the way of the presenters. Let the presenters talk and demonstrate the products. Some hosts are GREAT at crafts and some could care less. I do appreciate the fact HSN does craft days throughout the year because of the cost but I would like to see expanded items “live.”
It’s time to bring in some new vendors. Does HSN go to the January Hobby Convention?
Creativation was held January 17-21, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona.
hat’s the place to be see all the new products, trends, techniques, etc in the craft industry.
It is the same old same old every time. They need to mix it up, they used to have more variety way back when.
