Showing you all what accessories I have for the Brother Scan n Cut
Hi all,
I read Possums29’s post about the new arrivals of the Brother Scan n Cut accessories.
Here is a list of what I have accessories for the Brother Scan n Cut. I do have to say I am glad to see these items here. :smileyhappy: My list is endless so bare with the reading.
Item # 463-110 No.4 Brother 3D Paper Craft Pattern Collection. If you followed any of my last SNC posts I showed you some of these items. I think one was a little house and some boxes. I love this collection and find it works very well and is a lot of fun to make these items.
Item # 463-109 No.3 Home Deco Pattern Collection this is a beautiful collection of paper crafting card making items, scrap book items. You can also use some for applique. I do believe these can be resized with in the scan n cut cuttig area. If they look too large for your need you size them down.
Item # 463-108 Brother Scan n Cut Applique Pattern collection. I got this free with my Brother Scan n Cut. I have an older model now the CM550DX. all these collections are USB drives and will work with all of the Brother Scan n Cut models.
Item # 463-099 Scan n cut Transfer Glitter Sheets Basic Colors Gold, Red, Black and Silver. the colors are very true to the color name. the Gold is very gold not Tanny gold. The same with the other the red is red not orange red, etc. this is used for ironing on to tee shirts and any kind of soft material, IE hats, tote bags home decor etc.
On the back it gives you instructions on what blade setting what mat and explains how to iron the cut design on. Very easy and very nice.
Item # 463-079 Rhine stone starter kit. In this kit you get several bags of hot fix Rhine stones in various sizes. Plus you get an activation card to use with the Brother scan n cut canvas 100 designs plus the accessories to use to place the created design on to your project. Soft materials place on hats scarfs totes shirts any surface that you can use an iron on.
Item # 463-060 The sticker Starter set You get 7 sticker sheets plus 7 laminate sheets an activation card to be used with the brother scan n cut canvas and something like one hundred designs. I posted up what I made stickers for I used these for my sewing journals and made one for my tea bag jar. They are all still there after all these months and have not curled up or dried up and they can also be wiped with a damp cloth if need be in the case of my glass tea bag jar. Oh yes they do adhere to glass as well. Very nice I really like these.
Item # 463-059 This is the High Tack Adhesive Fabric Support Sheet. I have used this to cut out fabric for my tea cup case holders along with my own made pattern. I have a separate standard mat for this and have placed it on the mat and use it when I need too. therefore you can set up a mat just for cutting fabric and have it at the ready when you are. You treat it just like a mat that is used for paper etc. this is meant to be used for cutting out fabric quilting designs and any fabric design that will be sewed.
Item # 463-057 Iron on fabric Applique contact sheet. This is used to when cutting out something for an applique then ironing it on to the project then doing the applique stitch around the design. Is double sided adhesive.
Item # 463-047 Temporary Pen two piece set. these are used for drawing out your quarter inch half inch sewing line on your design. these are based on the pens that one gets when doing sewing and need to make a mark on the fabric but do not want it to be permanent. I also use this to hand draw my sewing. When you need to make a hem line or a any kind of mark they seem to last a very long time I have had almost a year now.
Item # 463-046 Six pack of colored pens. these and the Temporary fabric pens will work with any scan n cut.
These six pens are used for drawing for drawing out designs on paper and also used for the many sentiments found in the scan n cut machines and for the alphabet for making your own sentiments or writing out names etc. They last a very long time. Mine are almost coming on to a year that I had them in February and they are still very good and juicy. These pens also came with my snc.
Item # 463-045 Brother Scan n Cut scanning mat 12×12 this mat is used to scan in your stamp designs, photos, documents yes documents if you wish to save something to a usb that is important etc you can do it too.
With that said I myself do not use this machine to scan and save documents but it can be done.
This mat was the first thing I bought for my snc. I use it to scan in things I stamp out and for things that I do find on the net. I use this instead of the standard or low tack mat because I do not have to move in to the item I want to scan because of threads or paper left on my mat from using it. This is not a cutting mat just a scanning mat. It is 12×12 only.
Item #463-044 Scan n Cut low tack mat 12×24 this is like the low tack 12×12 mat used for light weight paper like computer printer paper etc. However with this you can cut out a 12×24 sized design. I have both the low tack and standard mat of this size and I used the standard mat to cut out a Halloween decoration and had post that picture here on HSN back in October.
Item # 463-043 the 12×12 low tack mat this mat is used for light papers and light fabrics. The light paper weigh would be Printer copy paper and thin light weight fabric. I use this mat with my Printer copy paper to do my test pactice design cuts to see how it would work out.
Item # 463-019 The Standard 12×12 mat and standard Cutting blade. This is a nice idea to sell both together.
I have the standard mat and I also have standard cutting blades. I use this mat for fabric with the fabric contact sheet and I also use one for cutting out card stock and a little heavier paper. I posted up pictures back in October for my Halloween design crafting to show you all Ann Griffiths glitter paper and how well it cut out on my SNC. I cut that glitter paper with my standard mat and my standard blade it worked out awesome. Nice clean cuts.
Just a note here on the mats I have several mats and of the low and the standard and I also have the middle tack mat not listed here on HSN. I also have several standard blades and several deep cut blades. I use two separate blades for cutting one standard blade for fabric and one standard blade for paper. Just like scissors one for paper and one for fabric.
Item # 463-113 adhesive Vinyl I have this and it is really very pretty vinyl. The colors are true to the color names. Very nice vinly. It also comes in vinyl rolls but each roll is its own colors. These sheets come in size 12×12 and you can do lots with this. Stencils and you can just cut a design and it will adhere to glass plastic metal etc.
I also have the vinyl contact sheet that is used with this HSN is not carrying this at this time.
Item # 384-301 The scan n cut tote. If you do not buy any of the accessories at least buy yourself this tote. I have this and I love it. I store all my accessories and my scan n cut in this tote. It has three big pockets to hold your mats and keep them protected from air born dust pet hair etc.
Plus there are two clear view pockets on the zipper down lid to hold all the little accessories the white pouch extra blades and extra blade holders etc. Plus one to hold the baby wipes for cleaning off your mat and you plug etc. I personally would be lost with out this tote. It was the second thing I bought for my scan n cut and I am really glad I did. There is also an awesom black velvet type mat with handles that comes with this. It is used to pull your scan n cut in and out of your tote. Makes it very easy for lifting and replacing. When I cut out out a design I left my snc out and place the mat and the snc on my table. Then I plug in and I am ready to go. Love Love this idea. Wish sewing machine totes had this mat as well.
I tried the Sunday to post this up and lost it due to non authentication. I was just directed back to my other posts.
I have now found this again and seem liked it had auto saved but only some of it. I hope I have not repeated my self here but I will give this a full read once I post it up.
I love all these accessories and have found them in numerous places for purchase. HSN is comparative with the out side prices. As for me I like to buy in quantity and get free shipping. That would be a great idea here as there is a lot listed. With that said if you have the Brother Scan n cut check these items out they are awesome and reasonably priced.

Hi all you scan n cut cutters:smileyhappy:
I just wanted to update you all that might have the older models like I have. They Brother company has come out with two new updates for the older models. One is ver 160 and has to do with Changing cutting lines to 3mm for the scan to cut data. Plus In the direct cut mode the cutting position can be manually adjusted if it has shifted. Also to work with different paper sizes like A2 A4 etc.
Now for the most interesting of updates, :smileyhappy: With ver 170 we get the color recognition update, Grouping and ungrouping of designs that are placed on the same mat at the same time.
Aligning patterns, Blade adjustment, Importable file format meaning svg files are now displayed in the file list screen by file name.
There are pdf read and print out that explain this much better then I can so if any of you do have the older models please do not for get to go get these very important updates. These are for all older models.
You newer model owners are all set with these up dates. With that said check and see if indeed you do have any new updates for your model.
Today I saw something very interesting shown by the fabulous paid spokes person Julie Fei Fan Blazer. I saw her use the universal pen holder I do not see it posted here on HSN at this time.
With an embossing pen/marker and embossing powder and a heat gun. She did a very nice design and showed how to use this with the brother scan n cut2.
Oh also too going through my own scan and cut and looking at the Machine information from page 5, I read this Brother Applique embroidery Data readable. I believe this came along with the new updates.
Now I do not have a Brother sewing machine but If this pertains to PES files. I can use that type of embroidery file in my sesq 6000 singer. With that said I do not believe at this time I have any PES files in my singer embroidery files. I do know that the PES files are used by the Brother embroidery machines.
So there it is Brother is awesome to us older model folks. We now have the color recognition like the newer models and some of their new advances.
Hope you find this of interest:smileyhappy:
