I have had it!
I have had it with buying the Xyron mega runner and the 10 piece glue tape bundle. I’ll get very little use out of one and it’ll fall apart, stop rolling tape and it’s garbage. That mega runner was expensive and with in minutes it stopped rolling, got tangled up and no way to fix it. It lasted a few swipes. So angry. I’ve spent money to make up 70 birth announcements only to have this stuff fall apart. It’s brand new and it stops. What the ?? How am I supposed to fix it? Tapes come with no direction to fix it if it stops rolling. Probably to get me to buy more so it’ll quit. Now I am broke and can’t buy from a craft store and still need to make up 70 birth announcements!!
Thanks a lot for a faulty product. Don’t think I’ll be buying again.
Know how you feel. I have quit buying the brands on HSN for any adhesives. I had one of those disposable small xyron machines and the box container that held the adhesive mechanism fell apart halfway through the roll and could not be put back together. I also bought some of those small tape runners they always use on air but they were also unrolling and kept getting stuck every time I tried to use them and after only a few tries, I ended up throwing them away. I really think quality control is severely lacking on a lot of these products with the high prices they charge for them. Can you get your money back?
I have switched to Tombow brand (got them on Amazon) tape runners and have had much better results. They were also cheaper only $5.00 for one small runner.
I’m surprised you have trouble with the Mega runner. I have had mine for years and have replaced the refill several times. In fact, I love all my Xyron products except the 3 inch disposables. It works better if you cut it instead of ripping it off, but I still find it difficult. The little 1.5 inch X sticker maker is great as are all the creative station products. I don’t think you should give up on Xyron. Remember HSN is dealing with thousands of sales and it’s unfortunate that you got the lemon.
If It’s defective, (and by your description it seems like it is), call Customer Service and tell them it’s defective. They will allow you to send it back, pick up the cost of shipping it back, and refund your money. You won’t be out a dime.
