Cricut Bright Pad
I’m wondering why the woman presenting the Cricut Bright Pad is stating that you can bring it in the car and use it and that it’s portable? At the Cricut webaite it clearly states that it will not function unless it is plugged in. When, and if, the company comes out with a truly portable and functional version (a rechargeable one?) , then I’ll be the first in line. In the meantime, I think the way it is being presented is false advertising.
I was watching that and she said she had it tethered to her computer. I have this light table and I love it. I was curious so I used the cord without the plug and with only the USB end. I plugged it into my computer and Voila! It worked. So I guess you can take you computer with you and using the computer battery plug the Cricut light table into your computer. And that is what she meant as portable. Well it is I guess!? It’s not like the other ones with the battery but I still love it. In the old days we used an actual table that lit up. THAT was not portable!!
Lol, Leah! Yes, the tables were definitely not portable. I thought it would likely work with the USB end and a computer, but that still seems kind of cumbersome to me. If I bought it, I would be devastated if they came out with a rechargeable one the following week! It does have wonderful reviews, though.
And knowing this industry they probably will! Might be smart to wait and see what happens. Having to take your computer with you so you can use the Pad is a little ridiculous. Nice talking to you!
I never heard them say how long the bulb lasts, or if it is replaceable. Anybody know?
