Crafters Companion TS Problems
Like many others, I have had similar problems with the cut and score lines and I have to make different plate combinations to get things to work. Not as simple and easy as Sara demoed. A few dies warped after ONE pass through the Gemini. Disappointed
I answered the other post on the TS problem but wanted to answer this one too because I think it is so important. The customer service gal at Crafter’s Companion said to remove the magnetic shim from the sandwich. Use all of the other plates but just remove the magnetic one. Sara is on their you tube channel showing how to do this. I tried it and it worked perfectly. I am back in business. I was having problems with only the circle and this fixed it. Hope it works for all of you too.
So I woke up this morning with an aha moment. I had an idea and it worked pretty well to solve the problem of the score marks being cut on the thin cardstock. I took cardstock and cut it to cover that area and used painters tape and placed it on. You need to cut around the circle. It didn’t cut the score marks any longer. They were not as crisp as they were, but then I scored them on my scoring board. They were probably fine before once you get your toppers on. Maybe just taping the score area would work. I will probably play around with it more. I know it still is not perfect, but they are so pretty. I did have to run it through my cuttlebug a couple times.
