Bring back $5 fill your cart shipping on craft events
I sure hope they bring back the $5.00 shipping on the upcoming craft event. I did not purchase nearly as much as I would have on the last event. I actually found some of the items I wanted on Amazon (they have free shipping and free returns). I was very disappointed in the last event as I know MANY of you were with no fill your cart for $5 for the day. It really isn’t worth disappointing your crafting community HSN. I think you’re really going to take a hit if you don’t bring it back.

I agree 100%. I was so disgusted with what they did on the last Craft day, I didn’t buy ANYTHING. Instead I went to CC own website and placed an order there. There are some things I would have bought that day, but on principle, I refused to pay all that shipping. They didn’t even have the decency to do Buy more and safe, on the shipping. Just flat out were ripping us off. I can’t support that kind of behavior.

I personally think there is a bigger picture here. I remember when QVC was phasing out crafts.
Oh, crafts are still available on QVC but I only recall one craft show on QVC in the last two or three years. I’m just wondering if this is what is going on at HSN. I certainly hope not. First HSN “merged” with QVC. Next thing HSN stopped ALL $5 “Shipping Days.” Then Suzanne began her own show of “Suzanne gets crafty.” Next thing was that Anna and Sara were on at two separate times. Last “Craft Day” was a sporadic event. I began shopping elsewhere some time ago. Many places have shipping on orders rather than items. All of these places have minimums which must be met to take advantage of that, but in the long run, how much $ have we and do we spend at HSN on “Craft Days.” Next craft event is set for Oct. 8. When HSN had their first craft show and announced that there would not be the “All Day $5.00 shipping” it was also announced that to “make up” for that, the price of the craft items had been reduced. I think there are other plans in the making which will happen, maybe over time, maybe sooner. But I definitely think something “bigger” is up. As always, vendors think shoppers are not savvy about buying. We, as customers, are NOT ostrich shoppers or buyers.

I didn’t buy anything on that last craft day, and I was all set to spend several hundreds until they wanted shipping on each item. That put me right off hsn and their craft days, probably for good. There’s nothing special about hsn. Their prices are higher, or the same, as I can find elsewhere. I usually have the crafters companion items I want sent over from websites in England where I don’t have to pay tax or shipping, and anna griffin items usually turn up on her website eventually with free shipping. I only have watched hsn for craft days, nothing else, and last time I just switched it off. I don’t think I have any interest in them any more after that last one.
-
HSN isn’t listening so I’m not paying their shipping anymore. The $5 ship cart has sailed and I’ll be surprised if it comes back.
-
I think hsn are just being obstinate for some reason. I’ve seen a lot of things since the last craft day with free shipping on them on their website, such as vitamin supplements. I can be just as obstinate, and I won’t be buying anything else from them and probably won’t even watch any of it. I think it’s an odd decision on their part during national craft month and then to supposedly show customer appreciation. I haven’t seen any sign of customer appreciation from them.

Not much of a “Craft Event” either, guys. 2 shows @ 12 & 1 AM (which they repeat until 7 AM), another at 9-10 AM…..I guess something at 11-12, another hour at 2PM, and then Suzanne Gets Crafty from 8 to 10PM……and I’m sure (but not positive) it’s full price shipping. Why bother?

I did it! I paid $12 for shipping. I want to kick myself but I really wanted the new diamond press along with a few extras. I was going to buy 2 sets of extra die cutting folders, I added 2 to my cart but they were $3.50 each to ship. So I just purchased one. I love all things diamond press so I did splurge some, but I feel completely let down. First off it is not even a full craft day…at one time I would take the day off from work and craft along with the vendors, I would also fill my cart for $5 shipping. Ugh, I just paid more to ship than one of my items that was $10. I would not have even made the purchase If it wasn’t for diamond press, I love the ease of this gadget. Craft days just have not been the same for quite some time, still many of the same themes, butterflies and flowers, a new and improved Cricut machine every 2 months, lots of interruption while hosts are presenting……HSN is kind of taking an easy approach to craft day, after all, there are so many different mediums in crafting, and we really have been seeing redundancy. Boy, I sound awfully negative, sorry for that, maybe the powers that be will see some of our posts and try to work on making our craft days more substantial!
-
Diamond press have a website. It is possible that they will have the items you want, whether now or later. I found something there just the other day that has been sold out on hsn since it was on last year.
-
I dont think we will see $5 shipping ever again and maybe not even 24 hr Craft Days. QVC owns HSN and they dumped crafting off of QVC and are likely going to get rid of it on HSN at some point. QVC sucks
-
I agree ABC sucjs.
-
QVC does NOT OWN HSN ! Why do people keep posting that QVC owns HSN?
Just because people keep saying, posting , and believing this – will not make true!
QVC , Zulily and HSN are all owned by Qurate retail Group.
However folks if want to keep the story going that QVC owns HSN.It is rather comical
-
Ummmmm….QVC DID acquire HSN….in 2017. You must’ve missed the “hoopla”…..QVC owned about 38% of HSN for the longest time, before they acquired the other 68%. You’re smart not to believe everything you see in posts…but….look it up, check it out. Factual not comical.
-
Iamshortdiva is correct. Google qurate to see what they own. The companies Iamshortdiva lists are all there on the Web site.
-
Or…you know….Google who owns HSN…..which says….QVC. Or even scroll to the bottom of this page which says “HSN…a part of Qurate retail group”.
-
Thanks @mspaper People really will believe what they want to . The facts really don’t matter .
For those that want to go by the facts – QVC and HSN are owned by Qurate Retail Group.Hugs (:
-
Exactly @iamshortdiva. They can’t even pick up on the clue when HSN, refers to QVC as “our sister network.” If QVC owned HSN, wouldn’t they say our “parent company”?

When I saw there was no fill your cart for $5.00, I decided to purchase just the one item, which I had promised my granddaughter. This is crazy, you can buy quality crafts online at many different stores and get free shipping, in many cases, for as little as a $35.00 order. Shop around ladies, many times you not only can get free shipping they will also have coupons and clearance priced items.
-
Yes, please bring the $5.00 shipping for all back–you have just lost me as a customer, as I wanted 3 items, but shipping was 7.50 EACH item. I decided it was not worth the price. Will try to find the items in question elsewhere, or go without!
-
Its so insulting that HSN didn’t consider their customers dismay over the shipping cost on last craft day. I hope HSN does free shipping day when Stephanie Barnard goes on next month.
-
Well, I’ve heard a few comments from hosts saying something vague about the “issues of postage being due to…..”the situation” (seriously?) Blaming the virus for increased shipping costs?!?!?! I wouldn’t think so……BUT if that’s the case….why is all Korres being shipped for free today????? Somethings not right with this picture. A LOT of the craft items are fairly lightweight UNLIKE heavy bottles of lotions, etc…….what gives, HSN…..I’d really like to know. THIS is not the way to “appreciate” your customers.
-
I totally agree.. The first thing that I thought when I saw the subject. was that dies, most card packages, etc….are lightweight.
Yesterday I had paced an order totaling almost $300.00 for Anna Griffin products. . Then…I saw how much I was going to pay in postage, and cancelled it.

eat. Will be surprised if HSN brings back $5 shipping and if they do watch the prices start going up to make up for it. We all can beg them, complain to them or even threaten to not buy from them anymore, things probably won’t change. We all are savvy shoppers so start shopping! Elsewhere that is! CC website is great with great sales and tutorials all week. Amazon and Ebay are great sites with great prices and free shipping. So let’s stop complaining and move on.
-
I’m not purchasing anything from HSN, with shipping charges the prices are too high!
-
I stopped buying from hsn when they stopped the $5 shipping. I switched off this time again as soon as I saw that they hadn’t brought it back.
