THE 30 DAY RETURN POLICY INFO
I really hope this doesn’t get taken down.
I know most of scramble to get a product returned within the 30 day policy.
HERE ARE THE FACTS:
You are given a 15 day allowance for the package to arrive.
Another 30 day allowance to try out your purchase.
Then another 15 day allowance for the package to return to HSN.
To make it simple you have 60 days from the purchase date to get it back to HSN.
My suggestion is don’t abuse this policy and wait til the last minute!
The policy is in place in case there’s a storm, blizzard, flood, hurricane, earthquake, natural disasters etc.
Hope this helps everyone!
If you ever need to find the date a package was delivered to you for some reference go to your Order History (not Order Status) under Account. When you find that item click on the blue Order # located on the left side.
A pop up screen with a TRACK ORDER circled in blue.
Click on the TRACK ORDER and you will see when it was delivered to your door.
Thank you. :womanvery-happy:
The infomercial always makes it sound like 30 days. Period.
Your post is helpful.
That is a great deal of good infirmation there. How many times have we all said, ‘it has been 30 days already.” meaning from when we first ordered. Thank you for all this knowledge.
I don’t think this is correct and its going to cause big problems for people if they try to follow this..
Clearly states in the return info….
you may return the item within 30 days of the date of receipt
30-day Satisfaction Guarantee!
HSN stands by every product we sell and we want you to be completely satisfied with the purchase you make. If any HSN purchase does not meet your expectations, you may return the item within 30 days of the date of receipt.
Note: Returns made after the stated return policy period will be returned to the sender.
Select items cannot be returned. When applicable, this will be specified at the time of sale.
The policy is the buyer has 30 days to return the item after they receive . It must be sent back no later than 30 days after it is delivered.
The FACT is tracking provides when it delivered and when it is sent back .
It has never been from purchase date , it is 30 days from delivery day to return day — the limit is 30 days for most purchases .
Nothing has changed that has always been the policy
After it is delivered you have 30 days to get it sent back if you decide not to keep your purchase , NOT 60 days from purchase date .
Rare castrophopic conditions such as a flood , earthquake , massive hailstones , blizzard may ALTER the delivery date WHENEVER it delivers you have 30 days to send it back .
? ? are correct. it’s 30 days from “date delivered.” when a product is returned the package label is scanned, so they know it’s coming. there is consideration for travel time. there are also special situations, such as the extended return policy during the holidays. but to return, with money back…30 days from “delivery date” to “scanned date of return” at the post office or ups.
Even though I know I have 30 days from the time the item arrived on my doorstep to return it, I always try to keep myself on track by returning it before, close to, or on the 30 days to the date I actually purchased the item, this way I’m never late returning.
Thank you Gize for getting out this information! I have had so many items with extended delivery this summer, so the order date and delivery date are weeks apart. I also wondered how to know my return range of days. Now I know, so I can make sure I don’t lose money returning something too late! I am glad to know how to view my delivery date in my order history. I learn something new everyday here in our community!
Just to clarify as I’ve done this in this past.
I was returning an item and checked with CS to see if I was within the 30 day date of RECIEPT of the package. I ordered it on June 23 and was told I had till Aug 23. Meaning the package has to be at HSN on Aug 23 and not in transit.
If you need to know exactly when the item is required to be back at HSN just call CS and ASK. They will give you a date. You’ll see there’s an grace period allowance.
I recommend that anyone not sure about how the returns work, to check the website, and/or ask a CS in the help section so that you don’t run into confusion when trying to return your packages.
Wow, there are a lot of different interpretations on this subject so I’m going to recommend either asking a Chat rep and getting a transcript of that sent to your email
if you call CS get the name and ID # of the CS rep and the reference # associated with your call because they keep notations of the call.
Simply ask “what is the item return date please”.
Possibly the website answer is unclear therefor up to too much interpretation.
