SSC TS Oversold
24 hours after placing my order I received an email from HSN telling me that I was not going to receive the Today’s Special after all (even though there is a hold on my bank account) because demand for the product had exceeded supply. I was also informed that it would be AT LEAST 30 days before I would know if they would be able to supply me with my order. I was flabbergasted and contacted HSN to find out what had happened. I ordered my TS at 10:35 AM–less than 11 hours after it debuted–and the single shipment continued to be advertised as available (i.e. it was not marked as Extended Delivery) for HOURS AFTER I placed my order. And yet HSN tells me again that demand exceeded supply and that they didn’t have enough product to fulfill the orders that had been placed. They offered me no alternative and would not even make the autoship option available to me at the TS price. All I was offered was $5 of spendable KASH.
I emailed Serious Skincare and this was their response: “Apparently, HSN did not purchase enough kits for their inventory and they did say that there might be an overlap of 30 days. However, that does not explain since you ordered early why they bumped your order.” They then offered to sell me the TS at the originally offered price (although obviously no FlexPay.) How nice of Serious Skincare, truly–but I am shocked at what HSN did and that they offered me nothing in return for billing me, overselling their TS, and then not telling customers that they didn’t have the inventory to cover the orders already placed. Shame…
