Simply Ming Question About Slow Cooker function
HSN Manager : this pressure cooker looks great. I like that it had the slow cooker option as well. Most traditional slow cookers and recipes give you the option of high and low cooking settings. I noticed on this TSV The button just says Slow Cooker -will this be like cooking on high or low? I want to know so I know how much time to use for my slow cooking recipes. Thank you!
Can you order a replacement rubber gasket for the lid if it wears out after a couple of years?
Keep checking on the website under item 408-720. If it is sold out, there is no other way to search it. If they still have a few left, maybe from some that fell through which has happened at least twice over the past 5 days, they will re-post the videos. If the unit sells out again, they take them down again.
I wanted to know what the PSI was for this cooker, the standard is 15 PSI, HSN didn’t know, so I was referred to Ming Tsai’s company. The cooker is a low pressure cooker, the woman said it was only 7 PSI, maybe could get as high as 10 depending on the liquid. That should help you adjust pressure cooker recipes to a longer cook time for his cooker.
I believe that because it is already on *low*, is why it doen’t have a high and low setting.
I’m actually ok with the low pressure, makes it feel less scary.
Angel, when using a pressure cooker as a slow cooker it will be like using a slow cooker on high.
Hi angelpositivity, you can click on the cook time image located on the product page for the slow cooker function to compare cook times for #408-720. If you don’t find a listing comparable to your recipes, let me know what you wish to cook, and I’ll see what I can find out for you.
