Why do they keep selling this thing amidst the lawsuits and awful reviews?
Look up Vanderbilt University Medical Center hot wire hair removal study.
This Over – Price gadget has been around and has played the field. A dozen or more infomercials, different networks. … My answer has always been ‘No No.’
Can the No No be used on a mans face?
No No was a major disapointment. I never had burns yet it just never got the short hair so I am back to the salon for waxing. Any ideas are appreciated or do you have one that is guaranted to work.
I purchase,d the No No about two Christmas seasons ago when they first introduced the leopard print and slim black case, really cute set. It was introduced in October, which was cool because you acually were able to try it out until January of the following year (a whole 3 1/2 months!!!) I guess HSN learned from their mistake, because they just reintroduced, after Christmas mind you, another animal print. My husband, my daughter and I have all loved using it, but all it does is singe the hair off your arm. They used to advertise the unit as suppressing the hair growth and eventually it will no longer grow back, well guess what, it grows back. I have even noticed on presentations over the past year, they no longer state and no longer have the video simulating the device slowing regrowth, to no regrowth. I’m sure because of the lawsuit their lawyers have advised them not to state it going forward. But I have noticed that they are trying to convince the viewers that the consumer will have to only purchase 1 to 2 thermicon tips, baloney!! It costs $30 for a new set of tips. My twelve year old daughter, of late, wanted to start using it on her lip, it burned her and it burned me. That was two months ago and we won’t use it aroung our lip area anymore. We wanted to use it before a wedding we would be attending but went for the Lillibeth tool instead and even that leaves your face feeling red and sensitive. I think I might try a SSC product, a cream, that supposedly removes the hair from your face gently. After using it for two years and paying close to $200 in thermicon tips, we have come to the conclusion, it doesn’t work as advertsed. Beware the No No is a no no!!
I once ovvned one via infomercial…..it actually burned a piece of my upperlip…..sent it back immediately…..novv HSN sells it but it’s probably improved….novv I use the trimmer from Lillibeth that I got the hang of and using….so far good…no more plucking….yea….Agi
veniceshopper did you return it did it leave a scar Kane
It left burns and scabs on my face. Obviously not the only one buy they don’t warn you about it. Last time it was a TS the vendor announced she is retiring. She must be glad he contract is up.
OHHHHHHHH MY !
This is the worse purchase I have ever made in the over 30 years of shopping at HSN and I have purchased alot.
I purchased this a few yeas ago when they came out with the model that you could use on the face. It burnt my skin and did not get rid of those annoying hairs that pop up on my face. To this day I could kick myself for buying this piece of junk.
:womanhappy:NO NO IS A NO NO FOR ME!!! When after using another product, we could smell my face burning, and off to the ER.
**** take notice of the 3 same models, especially the guy with dark hair, HE WAS SHAVED WITH THAT FLIMSY LIL SHAVER THE OTHER NIGHT!!!! ***** yes, there may be time in between viewings, and airings, but the avid absorbant sponge who has lived in Retail !! Most of my Life, we absorb details, fine lines, and Yes He Had this FINE LINE THE OTHER NITE, I TURN OFF MY TV OR CHANGE THE CHANNEL, OR GO CREATE SOMETHING, OR TICKLE MY FURBABIES. LOL
NORMALLY NOT A COMPLAINER,, BUT THIS STANDS WAY OUT!!!!
Came close to ordering but I searched this out and it’s substantial info for me not to place an order. I’m listening to the on air show as I type and the vendor has said that "this is it for this number, we’re retiring it" and it gives me the feeling that this is truly the last of NO NO. Might be they want to sell off the last of their stock. Who knows why a company that’s wound up in a class action law suit will keep selling their products. Go figure.
I can say it worked, yet i can also see where it would be of no use to me.
Always watch the infomercials on this as well as any product. THE TRUTH IS ALWAYS BY LAW LISTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN SAYING —Paid participants, ACTOR POTRAILS-
I always love to read that part….Sure it did work, if you have time and a few candels to burn, as the smell was truly that of burning hair.
As soon as I got my first one it was a few weeks later I see a new improved one- I was not happy.
I’ve read the reviews on other sites and it really does not look like a good product. I had a hard time finding unbiased reviews because when I googled "nono reviews" the top sites were disguised sales pitches. That made me feel really uncomfortable with the company.
What lawsuits are out there? Just curious.
