Ming’s Rice Multi-Cooker ts!
Ming’s rice cooker seems so much like a pressure cooker.
If Aroma made it, it Mst be a good product. I think Aroma makes the best cooking gadgets and appliances.
But personally I see no need for it.
Does anyone have any other recipes to share that they have tried and were successful with using the Ming Tsai Multi-Cooker? Other than the ones that they included with the product? I think they should have included more or at least offer a recipe book to buy.
I believe he said he partnered with Aroma to make this rice cooker – HSN has an Aroma rice cooker a bit cheaper – however Ming’s Rice Cooker has the PFOA/PTFE free inner pot and some other features the other one does not have.
For me I like the non-stick is PTFE/PFOA free 🙂
I usually don’t care for these type cookers because the food does not look flavorful. It looks watery and unappetizing to me.
For what it’s worth, I was at BB&B yesterday and they have a nearly identical multi-cooker by T-Fal for $79.99. It was 10 cup instead of 12, but everything else looks the same.
I got the impression from the presentations that you only hit one button for what you want to do, but the product manual seems to indicate that you make a selection and then program the amount of time on items other than rice. Also, what Ming Tsai is calling crust on his mac n’ cheese I would call burnt, and the cakes don’t look fully cooked in the middle. I’ll wait for the reviews.
