Jay Manuel TS
I was curious to see if anybody was interested in this. Is anyone getting this today’s special? I wanted to try his brand for a little while but I wasn’t sure about my foundation shade. If anyone is looking for help finding their shade he has a phone app you can download onto your phone.
You just have to choose a picture or take a picture and upload it to the app. My shade is supposed to be deep filter 1. Based on what I’ve seen online it looks a little bit yellow to me but the picture that I gave in the app was matched to that color.
Happy shopping everybody!
Thanks for the app tip MsJules — I have also been anxious to try Jay Manuel’s makeup line. I went ahead and ordered the TS because the price was amazing and came with free shipping. Also, you can usually get a rebate on the magazine subscription which helps lower the price even more.
I like that he has so many shades (it drives me crazy when a line only has 3 — like that’s supposed to be a good fit for everyone???). I’m going to check out the app to make sure I chose the correct one for me.
I need a new foundation and I’m on the hunt for one. I’ve been using a CC cream that I really like but with the change in seasons I feel I need a foundation for the colder months. I looked at this one and was on the fence, but I decided not to buy as I looked the reviews for his other products which were just so so. I don’t want to order and return as I have a fear of the dreaded letter for returning too much
Thanks for starting this thread MsJules………….I’m undecided at this point. I’ve never had luck with mineral or powder makeup and have always used liquid foundation. The glow factor is enticing but I feel it’s over the top when it comes to women "of a certain age". My issues are darker skin around the eyes and pores. No blemishes or wrinkles. So a little of anything does the trick for me. I’ll have to mull this over for a while before making a decision. Hopefully more ladies will voice their opinion
I wish we could see how this make-up really looks. There are different studio lights on for this presentation. The model Jay is working on looks totally shiny and yellow. The show hosts look pale white. This female host did not look like this in the previous "Born" show. Also the other "older, tan" model looks like her skin is leather and like she has on 5 inches of heavy make-up. IMO based on these observations, it’s not worth ordering without TRUE presentations. HSN failed on this one……
I would love to see a close up of the dark shades . I am not sure if i need a medium in row 2 or dark 1 . I can’t order based on the last presentation . I hope JAY signs on to see your topic and our comments . I need a yellow base with light brown undertones .
I was watching the show and was intrigued by the foundation. Then I noticed the lighting. That type of lighting is used to give an overexposed look. That means less lines. Makes a person look 10-15 years younger. It was very noticable. No, I will not be buying this. It was too obvious they were changing the light to make the product look better. I will stick to the airbrush unit I bought from HSN–LOVE it!
