Is It Just ME? Magazine Not a Plus
I wonder if I am the only one , that has decided NOT to buy a TS because of a magazine is included .
I know you can do the mail in refund request song and dance . I mailed one refund request off to Hearst yesterday .
Just price the TS at the lowest possible price and sell magazines separately.
I take the magazine with me to my monthly doctor visit. I read it there while waiting ? and leave it there for others. It’s a win win situation. I read ??a clean current interesting magazine first ??germ free?? and pass it on for others!:smileylol:
I really don’t think we would be offered the item cheaper if the magazine was not included.I am guessing that the publisher adds on the offer to promote the magazine.I never take the magazine simply because there are a couple of companies that offer magazines for free.I get email offers almost daily for some free magaine.Just search Free Magazines and many can be found..I now see it as 8 more dollars off the price and its really not hard to get the refund.Seems the magazine offered usually runs ads for the product offered so I think the publisher sees it as a way to push the magazine to people.
OK :smileytongue: I received my refund yesterday. To be fair , it only took a little over four weeks .
For the mop $19.95 less eight dollars plus Free S/H :smileysurprised:
SO the mag thang ain’t all bad .
Hi, I do forget a magazine is included with some items offered. I give mine to the local hospitals for them to read and they love it. Most stores give your info anyway, when you use a debit or credit card, that is how they do business. They only way to get away from getting free magazine, pay cash.
I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER again buy a TS with a magazine thrown in! On Jan 19th . I mailed my refund request to Hearst today February 16th I received my 2nd issue of GH .
Never again !
SAVE A TREE and SAVE MONEY
I do not buy any item with a magazine subscription attached. The magazine gets to beef up its subscriber list so it can charge more for advertising. That’s why you have to cancel the subscription after you have become a "subscriber." Then, the subscriber list (with your name on it) gets sold, which is why you get more junk mail. Some people like these magazines and have no problem with this arrangement. That’s fine with me, but I will always pass on any item with a magazine attached to the purchase.
I do not purchase if a magazine subscription is included. I am still receiving Glamour from a Rhonda Shear buy. I am in my seventies and tried to give the magazine to my 21 year-old granddaughter who is very fashionable. She was not interested, so the magazine now gets tossed in the trash.
Naaaa, you are not the only one. I do not buy when a magazine is attached either. I learned my lesson on that years ago. First and most important to me is the magazine IS NOT free. I don’t care who say’s what. The magazine’s price (discounted of course) is included in the price of the item we are purchasing. If that were not the case I’d like someone to explain how is it that we can receive a refund for the magazine when the subscription is cancelled. I was taught that nothing is truly free. Someone is paying for it somewhere. In the case of the magazines… we are. On top of that, the magazine’s they offer stink! Like somebody posted here, offer Sports Illustrated… or some other worthwhile magazine.
Perhaps if there was a way to Choose which magazine you want. … it might be okay for some customers. But, my choice would be ‘None’.
I get So much junk mail (it seems that way). It’s hard to control it. My trash can is usually filled with it. I’m now in negotiations with USPS to have ALL mail to my address stopped. – But they said ‘No’. :womanlol:
I had never received any free magazine;) Maybe certain Today’s Special offer them Just my opinion:heart:
Just wondering why HSN never offers a free magazine subscription to the people when they have their tailgate parties selling sports related items. Bet if they included Sports Illustrated the guys wouldn’t complain and want a refund. LOL probably because you would get the Sports Illustrated Swim Suit Issue. Joking here but true…Ronnie
First off , I do not dislike Joy. I have purchased thousands of her hangers(gifts and for myself) over the years , Love her (have purchase 3 sets) pillows and countless sets of Joy readers(for gifts and for myself) and I also like the bucket .
On Jan 3 ,2016 , I ordered the mop , extra head and bucket . It finally arrived on Jan 13.
I struggled with it a few days it was stuck in lock mode . I could have and should have returned , HSN would have picked up the return cost .
However I had trashed the long mop box . Finally my DH got the mop unlocked however now it is stuck in unlock mode .
I decided to keep the bucket for veggie gathering and storing . Keep the mop and mophead as a reminder to NEVER AGAIN.
On Jan 19th . I mailed my refund request to Hearst .
Today the magazine arrived with Joy and the mop on the front .
YEP rub it in my face .
Thanks Kyle, I hope they accept a copy and not insist upon receiving the original.
Appreciate your help…..by the way…..cute baby with your picture.
To Manager Kyle…I did not want the magazine….I wanted the card to mail back to them
for refund….I resent the fact that you automatically included the mag to be sent to me
with my order. I dont want any magazines. So now because you automatically sent
in my name to the magazine I don’t have the chance to refuse it as so many others have
done for their refunds. My previous comment was geared to receiving the card,,,Not
I agree with you. They do Glamour a lot and that is a magazine for teens and young 20 somethings. I already subscribe to InStyle, Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar and Allure.
