HSN PLEASE STOP INCLUDING MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS WITH PURCHASE
I have bought 2 TS’s lately that have included magazine subcriptions. I do not want them and I fill out the appropriate paperwork and send in right away. I had recieved the $8 refund from Allure pretty soon after I sent it in. I have since though received 2 magazines which I don’t want. I fear the same thing will happen with Vogue. These are magazines I have no interest in and will go right in the trash. The bottom line is that I just don’t want it even coming to my door. Can you please contact Conde Nast to correct this issue of customers continuing to get their magazines even when the cancellation request has been submitted? I will not be buying anymore items that have subscriptions attached to it.
I’m sure what HSN is doing is Illegal. They Take your money, Bid and Sell your information to several entities … Then IF you Jump Through some Hoops and Flip Through some Loops – they will give you Your money back in 30 days.
HSN has become the Low Class Shopping Channel of the World! ….. Yay!
If so many others like myself won’t even entertain a purchase with a subscription included then how can including them be a good thing for HSN? Is any publisher’s incentive worth the ill will of the customer?
Sometimes, I buy more than one TS . Have you noticed that the magazine subscription
Is limited one per address? For example, say Iman offered a TS and it’s $39.95 with a Lucky magazine subscription. If I buy 2, I pay $39.95 for the first minus $8.00 refund for the magazine =$31.95 and $39.95 for the second item. Granted, I have to send in the paperwork to cancel the magazine, but I’ll gladly do so to receive an $8.00 check. I’ve always received the check within 30 days. The point I am trying to make is that HSN might not lower the price since they don’t do it when you buy multiple TS. At least we have the option to cancel the magazine and get $8.00 back.
I agree, I always have to print and then mail in the cancellation. A waste of money for stamps.
I rather not have the magazines and usually ask for the refund. It would be nice to be able to take it off in the shopping cart .
Please add me to the list as well. I do not want the magazine promos. I do not want my personal information given out to the publishers when I don’t want the magazine. It is a hassel to stop them once they get your information. I let one get by me and the magazine started coming. It had offensive content. I have contacted the publisher and am still receiving the magazine. It goes from the mailbox to the garbage. I just bought the slinky brand TSV and it comes with a magazine. I almost didn’t purchase it because of that fact. I think however in the future, I just won’t make the purchase. I would assume HSN is getting paid by the publisher for the mailing lists of their customers. Once you are on a mailing list, it is very hard to get off and the information tends to get resold again and again.
Pease add me to the list of people that DO NOT want the magazine promo.
I never want the mag and the refund is a major hassle.
I agree! If it has a magazine, I don’t want to buy it. They don’t always send the $8 refund and it is truly a hassle to have to deal with it.
HSN PLEASE have an option to not receive the magazine or better yet, drop this promotion entirely. I would prefer a savings on the item rather than a magazine I don’t want or have to go thru sending in the request to cancel then follow up to see that they do.
It is truly a negative promotion in my opinion.
Please stop sending me the the the vogue magazine ……. Thankyou
I agree Christina. I avoid buying things w/ the magazine subscription … but broke my rule last week because I couldn’t resist the YBF deal. ( I was too weak lol ) I wish the free magazine was an option and there was a CLICK HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE MAGAZINE button, then everyone would be happy.
Hi Christina, i think our name and address are sent to the magazine’s subscription
department right after our purchase. Our information is entered into their database and it takes a cycle or two before we are removed. Seems like HSN is offering more and more TS with a magazine subscription. At least they make it easy for us to cancel. Every time, I receive one or two issues before the cancellation is processed. I take my unwanted magazines to the hospital, senior center, doctor’s office, and even auto repair shops. They are so appreciative and it’s a great way to recycle. Just a suggestion. 🙂
Christina105, I’m sorry to hear of your concern. To make sure you do not receive the Vogue magazine, please contact them to verify your cancellation at 1-800-405-8085 after 5/13. They may not have a record of your subscription before then.
