HSN PLEASE STOP INCLUDING MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS WITH PURCHASE
I have bought 2 TS’s lately that have included magazine subcriptions. I do not want them and I fill out the appropriate paperwork and send in right away. I had recieved the $8 refund from Allure pretty soon after I sent it in. I have since though received 2 magazines which I don’t want. I fear the same thing will happen with Vogue. These are magazines I have no interest in and will go right in the trash. The bottom line is that I just don’t want it even coming to my door. Can you please contact Conde Nast to correct this issue of customers continuing to get their magazines even when the cancellation request has been submitted? I will not be buying anymore items that have subscriptions attached to it.
How long does it usually take to start getting the subcription? I odered the last Carols daughter TS and have not recieved any of the magazines yet, I think it was Style. In the past also it seems I never get the full amount or they come really sporadically.
sorry, I like some of the mags
What about the tens of thousands of customers who are Unaware of the ability to cancel. When I got stuck with it in the past, I was not aware that I could cancel and receive my money back.
Just as they advertise and repeat the 30-day return policy, they should State On Air the cancellation policy. Of course the correct thing to do would be to Offer the magazines as an additional or bonus purchase at the time of Sale. … OFFER it … don’t Slip it in my order. But the Smart and Legal thing for HSN to do would be to drop the magazine Scam like a hot potato.
The $8.00 is not the biggest deal. The Big Deal is using the customers as a Product. Selling off their information. … and of course the magazine companies share and sell you to their network of businesses. It is the money game of Facebook. – The customers are the most valuable asset. Use them as a Commodity.
I was just able to cancel the magazine subscriptions by phone. Click on your account up there
on the tool bar. Go to customer service. Inquire about magazine subscriptions. A list of
phone numbers come up, one for each magazine you want to cancel. The Conde Nast rep was
very nice, very helpful.
I don’t want magazines either! Was there really not a way to opt out of them at the time of
purchase? Surely there was and I just missed it. I’ll have to check that out. There’s paperwork
to send in to stop magazines I didn’t even order?? Oh come onnnnn. Next time there’s a magazine
attached to an item I want, I just won’t order the item either. What an inconvenience. They’re
just cluttering up the place.
I drop them off to a local hospital or doctor’s office every few months. There should be a way to opt out at the time of order that doesn’t involve writing a letter.
I agree, they are nothing but a hassle. We should be given the option to opt out as we place the order, not opt out only after the subscription is activated. And having to opt out by mail? I had to go out and buy an entire book of stamps to opt out and since I do everything else online, I’m stuck with nearly $20 worth of unused stamps.
I can walk into a Starbucks and pay for my coffee with my phone without ever having to even touch my wallet or credit cards, but HSN needs me to mail something in for a paper magazine I never wanted? Nope. Please get with the times, HSN.
Why not have HSN and the magazines just send the magazines to doctors offices, schools and to those who Want and Request it. Also, why not send out $8.00 checks to schools.
I give out gifts that I select. I’m not carrying around, advocating and solictiing for Magazine companies. Magazines line most people’s trash cans.
But If they are Free – Free, why not allow those who want it to go and get it.
I understand most members have stress in our real lives , but a few comments to the OP are simply wrong . Rare for me to post on the forum . Reminds me of Facebook . Why can’t a members express how they feel without personal attacks .? For example … Some magazines will contnue to bill you after the special HSN package . I would forget to stop the mailings with a small child , working as a nurse ,and real life issues .
I think HSN should consider a option button . Can we please stop with the personal attacks > HSN forum should be fun , educational , and relaxing . HSN members consist of ladies and gents in every adult age range. I personally know a member that will turn 92 years young in a few days . I would never expect her to remember a magazine subscription policy . I forget many things at 50 lol . God Bless
first off you’re not even paying for the magazine. Secondly you dont even get billed for it and third, if you take 30 seconds or so and fill out the "i do not wish to continue subscription’ you’re getting paid $8 ??? what am I missing ? if you dont want the subscription, then simply give it to a neighbor or friend or donate it.. wow.. you’re purchasing stuff that you really dont NEED but stuff that you just WANT .. if they give you a magazine and you’re not paying for it.. maybe because you think it’s of non interest, but are so compelled to complain…that doesnt mean another person wouldnt enjoy it.. this is the time for YOU to think about others first instead of yourself ! wowwww! boarders on spoiled and snobish if you ask me. you’d think you’d have something better to focus your energies on. Get a life. give life.. be a source of energy instead of draining it out of everyone else completely. wow is this even going to matter to you 10 minutes from now ??
what if you donated them to a church ?
Please give the magazines that you do not want to teenage girls that would love to have them.
And, you have to listen/watch carefully. They usually only briefly mention the scam Magazine once. So, you can’t just call in and order when you see it on TV. You have to go to the computer and look carefully through the description.
I almost got caught up in it once, but I stopped the order just in time. However I did get stuck with it two years ago, and I didn’t even know what was going on. – No More.
I will not purchase anything that has a magazine subscription included period.
I HATE, HATE, HATE the magazine subscriptions I usually remember to mail for my refund. I forgot one time and I’m getting Glamour and it goes directly in the recycling bin.
I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER but two TS’s with magazine subscriptions because I would only get a refund for one.
I agree with other posters give your customers a choice if they want the magazine or not. That would be called "putting your customer first".
