Does Anyone Wear Slinky??
I’ve bought Slinky clothes on a few occasions and always sent them back. They are super THIN and see-through. The material is cheaper than what I can buy at Wal-Mart. QVC sells a similar line of clothing called Attitude By Renee (used to be Citiknits), but the tops have a great weight and are a high quality. They are also way less money.
Why doesn’t HSN sell something that is first class? The patterns for Slinky are gorgeous, but I’m not going to be fooled again into buying this stuff.
I don’t know but I ordered a bunch of things. We will see. I try to just stick to jewelry. She keeps saying to doesn’t cling ????
Every so often I’ll try an item but not a whole lot of luck in the brand .
fabric snags and the ts looks more like a split skirt. I bought tops years ago. Maybe they’ve improved the fabrication but I never found them cool to wear.
Slinky now offers light jersey stretch knit fabric which I really like. QVC used to offer Citiknits which , like original slinky fabric was acetate/spandex. My most recent purchases from Slinky are jersey knit and for me the quality is good and easily wearable and I am a XL. Attitudes by Renee is jersey knit ,as well.
I just purchased my first items. Hope I like it and hope it fits.
I wear Slinky tops because of the airy fabric and beautiful colors, they drape well, and I love them! I have many pieces in lace, too, and receive so many compliments whenever I wear them. I live in the south where it gets very hot, so the fabric is just fine with me. My last purchase was of lightweight jersey knit, perfect in air conditioning. Jackie’s clothes are made in the USA, too!
I am considering trying one of the dresses. I put my sizes in and it says M. Do you ladies size down or do you find the size chart is correct. In One world I wear a M.
I love Slinky clothes, I have a ton of them. My favorites are the jackets, I have a lot of them and they’re so versatile. I don’t like the tanks becasue they’re too low-cut for me. The pants and jackets aren’t see-through at all, believe me. I wouldn’t buy them if they were.
YES…. I do !
I have worn Slinky for years. I have also worn Antthony’s line for years.
We cruise about 4 to 6 weeks a year & I like clothes that
look good straight out of the luggage. I also want clothes
that are comfy & flattering. The majority of my travel clothing are Antthony & Slinky.
I feel both lines are pretty true to size. They wash well…and hold up year after year.
I do not find the clothes to be see-through. I would not wear a dress, top, pants or skirt that was see-through. A sheer jacket…yes.
Hope you find something that you will be happy with…. :womanhappy:
