Dirt Devil 360 TS
I received my Dirt Devil last night, and tried it out this AM. I was excited, and the various attachments are pretty cool. That ceiling fan attachment is great. Within a couple minutes of use, I noticed the vac was getting hot. I tried out the various attachments, and after about a half hour it just stopped working. Hot to the touch. The vac is now completely cool and still won’t power on. I’m trying to figure out if I should exchange or return. Maybe I got a dud unit? Has anybody else had this happen? This really would do all the detail cleaning I need, but not if it stops working after its first use.
I’ve been using it lots today too, and it’s working…..no power loss like the first time I used it this morning. I have very high ceilings, and I can reach corners. My bedrooms are carpeted, and I was able to reach all the crud under my bed. It was gross! What a difference! used the extension wand along with the crevice tool and step/upholstery tool. I’ll wait and see if it gets really hot and stops working again and exchange it if it does
I bought one and received it today-
I did not have this issue- It worked for the entire time I used it (about 2 hours).
It was warm, but no warmer than was expected.
You need to return it and get a replacement-(with your warranty as it has a 2 yr. warranty as well as the 30 day return)
I have fallen in love with mine- I have cleaned places that I could never have without those attachments it came with.
It started up again, and the unit is warm not hot like it was when I used it this AM and it just stopped working. So I’ll keep using it and see if it happens again. It really is weird how hot it got after a couple minutes with first use and then the unit just stopped. It’s a cool device assuming it doesn’t stop working again!
Hi LLAMA, I’m sorry to hear this stopped working for you! I checked into this and this is a 4 star item, so it sounds like you may have received a dud.
