Contrary to Samantha Brown’s statement, TSA will not allow you to bring bottles in your carry on
I have enjoyed many of Samantha’s travel shows in the past, however today she misspoke. We are traveling domestically next month, so I was thrilled to hear her say we can bring bottles in our carry on luggage as she showed a piece of plastic that’s part of her luggage. I called American Airlines and Southwest Airlines to double check, both said you cannot bring bottles in your carry on luggage. You can only bring bottles 3.4 oz. or smaller in the appropriately sized plastic you show TSA as you go through security.
HSN, please have Samantha correct this mistake as I am sure you do not want HSN customers to have their Perlier, Dr. Graf, Korres, etc. tossed in the trash by a TSA agent who is just doing their job!!
I have three colors Samantha Browns’ luggage sets plus the matching underseaters. I purchased my first set in Aqua four years ago …. still use it . The next year I purchased my DH a black set. Then two years ago I got the burguny set . They all are still going strong , used -but still all look fabulous!
The long long long lines would be shorter if people would follow the guidelines.
Not sure how things were misconstrued here but thanks for clearing things up Samantha! Know you are a travel packing expert…. I learned the hard way years ago when several bottles of a difficult to obtain shampoo/conditioner were ditched right after I purchased them!
I’m not sure where the miscommunication is here. I never have said that you can bring bottles larger than 3oz, in fact I premiered my travel essentials kit this last visit that has 2 of the refillable 3oz bottles for exactly this purpose (in your carryon luggage, in a separate clear plastic pouch that meets TSA requirements). I don’t recall showing large full size shampoo bottles and saying you can bring them onboard, because that is certainly not the case.
TSA will toss it !
You can’t do this domestically or internationally!
