Would you spend $400 dollars for the new Dyson supersonic hair dryer
The new Dyson supersonic hair dryer was unveiled in Tokyo last week. It’s touted as small, light, and fast with the newest technology in 60 years. It’s retail price is $400. Would you spend that much for a hairdryer?
He** no! LOL
Seriously??? It would require some intense research. I paid at least half that (maybe more than half, if I remember correctly) for my CHI and it still takes me an hour to blow out my hair. So…if the Dyson honest-to-dog could dry it in a quarter to half that time (therefore saving me days of shoulder agony and CT flare-ups…) it honestly might be worth it. Of course, it would help if it came attached to a hairdresser for that price.
I win the lottery.
I’m a multi millionaire !!
My answer to buying a $400 hair dryer…………………………………………………
Even though I’m sure it beats the 1920’s version below.
Hi Snow, I might have to wait a few years for the price to come down.
About two years ago I bought some super dryer on another site, and wow, it is the best ever.
Cut my drying time in half, maybe more.
Since I do not know all the details of the product, it is difficult to respond.
For now, the answer is no.
Snow, I found that using a hair dryer actually made my hair look dry and horrible. I now let it air dry. So much easier. No, I don’t use curlers. I stopped that years ago. Would I pay $400 —- definitely not. If on flex pay with HSN—-No way.
Okay – so while we’re all waiting for the American launch of the $400 hair dryer…have y’all seen that thing the Q is offering as the TSV? YIKES!!!! I can totally see having to cut that thing out of my hair like a bad piece of bubblegum. *shudder* It’s SCARY!!!
NO! Unless it made my hair frizz-free everytime I dried it with this Dyson supersonic hair dryer and it had a 90 day return policy!
As I hang my head with shame :smileyembarrassed: yes. If it cuts down drying time and is healthier for my hair, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the new Dyson dryer.
I’m a funny mix of Glamour girl and Tom boy- I just never spend that much time worrying about my hair- on a bad hair day i shrug and put my hair up or put on a hat- i do have a vast selection to choose from…
finding the right cut and products keeps me from a blowdryer
but if anyone gets one let us know if you think it’s worth it-
i find it interesting what each of us value and pay more for
No. Especially if it is as heavy as Dyson vacuum cleaners!
Southern, it might be the last hair dryer you even have to invest in if it’s as great as Dyson says it is…so if we can amortize the cost we can rationalize it.
Sir Tyson even grew his hair out enough to be able to use it!
I would not and the vaccums either
