Why do koreans have so perfect skin
I noticed that koreans have nice skin and I was wondering why… Why is their skin look so perfect? Is it because of their genes or because of the food? What about the men?
As with most things, "perfect’ skin and even ‘nice’ skin is in the eye of the beholder.
I lived in Korea and did not find the ladies to have remarkable complexions. I do believe in recent years that Korean beauty is following in the footsteps of Japanese skin care and they are producing some superior products now.
Not to worry ladies. When they hit 120 they’ll look just like the rest of us….Ronnie
I don’t know specifically about Korean females, but I do know that Oriental females, especially Japanese, drink and eat mega doses of collagen. I watched a show about Oriental beauty some years ago, and learned that the Japanese can purchase collagen infused beverages and drink them straight out of the can. The collagen also comes in powder form, which can be poured into milk. In Japan, they even make collagen beer.
Lifestyle as mentioned in previous post affects all aspects of the body. But I wanted to share that I once heard a holistic doctor explain that there is a genetic component to the type of skin you have. Asians (mongoloid) have the thickest skin of the three people groups, followed by Blacks (negroid) and then Whites (angloid). All races fit into one of these categories. This makes sense to me because if your skin is thicker it would be less prone to show damage. That said, we all age and suffer the consequences of our lifestyle and environment.
I’m not Korean but enjoy Korean movies and shows with English subtitles. What I’ve noticed on TV
is they seem to be big on moisturizing face masks and moisturizing facial spritzers. That seems
to include the men. They apply moisturizer prior to going out in harsh weather. I’ve noticed their
beautiful skin too. i’ve gone out and got me some of those moisturizing masks!
Next time you meet a Korean, or anyone with perfect skin, ask them what they do. Not being Korean myself and not having perfect skin, I don’t know. I can’t even tell by looking at someone if they’re Korean, but I can often tell someone is not.
My girlfriends daughter has an Asian friend….I was told its because they shave their face…tend to believe it ….its a pretty good form of exfoliation….its what I was told…have no idea if its true or not…I read somewhere that Elizabeth Taylor did too….just saying
Genes and Food don’t matter as much as staying out of the sun or consistently using sunscreen.
Good question. lets hope for an answer:)
