Which is more important a Good Cleanser or
Ok I have asked this question on another board but not here on hsn.
What is more important a good cleanser or the skincare you use after you wash your face? I am using SSC cleansers but wondering if I could use something from the drug store to help with the cost, thinking of cutting down on how much I spend on my skincare items. Don’t get me wrong I love my face cleansers I buy from SSC:smileyhappy:
A good cleanser is important but I believe there are quite a few drugs store lines that are good.
I buy Elysee it’s $22 for two 8 ounce bottles and they last for many months. I think that’s very reasonable.
I had to edit this post. I see HSN is now charging $22.50 for one 8 oz bottle. Before we got two bottles for that price so maybe I need to shop around for something else.
I liked the SSC vit C cleanser too..but I don’t like the price! I now use M.Asam Aqua Cleansers, 2 tubes for $20 something. Little goes a lonnng way, and it’s thorough and hydrating. Others I found were in TjMaxx for cheap, and brand names. I often get Shiseido cleansers there (love all Shiseido). They carry alot of Elizabeth Arden also…very nice line. Cleansing is MOST important, then your skin will love your treatments.
It’s sold out. Brushes and all. I love mine but was looking for brush set refills. Found them on another website. The amaz…ing one…lol.
Is HSN bringing back the dermabrush? There are similar products to it that are sonic for face and body. That would be nice.
I’d say both are equally important, but I think it’s easier to find good inexpensive cleansers than it is to find good inexpensive skincare products. I mostly use Purpose cleanser from the drugstore, but I have others that do a good job too.
I like SigA meltdowns and the two for one deals are pretty good, and I think they make a difference. In improving my skin. That said, I think any cleanser from a local drug store can be found that will also will meet your needs. A great moisturizer, or whatever you add to you skin care after will remain on your skin much longer, so to me is more important.
Cleansers are important. To save money I love to buy LANCOME GALETEE MILKY Cleanser’in the large 13.5 o/z size.
In the long run it is amazing, sold here at HSN and you will see that you save.
Hope you post more often.
Both are important but as Cindy and FaireMaiden said if your face isn’t clear the products you use won’t work well. Be sure to use a cleanser for your skin type…
Sweet… I hate to break it to you, but that’s like asking if the brakes on a car are more important than the steering mechanism, *lol*.
They’re both important and equally required… Cindy is right, if your face isn’t cleansed properly, smearing on moisturizer just isn’t gonna absorb well.
Try Sally’s. They have wonderful skincare products… cleansers, moisturizers, masks, even ‘retinol’ stuff if you’re into that. Lots of ‘Vit C’ skincare products, which is what I use. And their prices are just as fabulous.
I say a good cleanser…if your face isn’t clean, all the other products you put on it, won’t absorb or do any good after that.
Of course you can. Check and see what drugstore products Paula Begoun recommends for your skin type. I have combination skin, and use CeraVe foaming cleanser.
