What was old SSC exfoliator?
Does anyone remember way, way, way back when Lesa Stock was on with Serious Skin Care, she sold a creamy glycolic exfoliator in a small plastic bottle? I can’t remember the name of it…and it is driving me nuts!
I remember it was very thick and tough to dispense, but I recall they would often sell it in kits with the glycolic cleanser.
(It may have had the word Buff in it, but I’m not sure.)
Anyway…they obviously discontinued it…do any SSC users know a similar product with the same consistency in their current line?
Many Thanks in advance!
JoyLuc, so glad to hear that you are liking the Glowbrasion….
I think I like the smell because it reminds me of a fruity type of scent….
I remember I first tried it when it came in the jar and then they changed it to the tube….so here I am cutting into the tube to get every last drop of goodness out…lol…so then I bought a two pack of it because it was such a good deal….unfortunately they don’t come to Canada anymore but luckily I buy their products either from their website or eBay….you guys get the best deals on HSN though!
fab4gal….OMG…You were right! I tried SSC’s Glowbrasion in the shower last night…and then could not keep from touching my face, which DOES feel soft like a baby’s bottom! Thank you so much for the recommendation! I didn’t even feel the need to put moisturizer on after using it.
(I do not like the smell, however, but sometimes products with glycolic and fruit acids smell strange. I don’t care because the results are truly great!)
I have used very expensive exfoliators, like Dermalogica’s Multivitamin Thermafoliant (which warms after you put it on and costs a fortune…) and Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant (rice powder in a shaker, basically) and some very inexpensive ones, like Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Acne Wash, and hands down, Glowbrasion gave me THE BEST results.
I actually like the consistency and the results better than the old Buff Polish!
(Based on the great reviews here, I also bought Serious Skin Care’s LUSTER Face and Neck Polish, which has a gel-like, grainy consistency, and it is also really effective.)
Happy to have soft and exfoliated skin. Thanks again, fab4gal!
The GLOWBRASION uses plant enzymes to gently slough off dead skin…it’s a microdermabrasion treatment….when you apply it, use gentle circular motions and this will help to get rid of the dead skin cells….it smells amazing…it kind of reminds me of the feel of sugar….it’s very gentle…
With the GOMMAGE, it’s applied like a mask that you leave on for about 10-15 minutes or so and it dries….you use circular motions and warm water to remove it from the skin….it micro exfoliates….your skin is left feeling quite soft….
I use both of them….if you want something similar to the Buff Polish, I would say that the Glowbrasion is the next best thing….
Does anyone know the difference in results between Globrasion ($15.75 oz) and Gommage ($9 oz)?….I have the Gommage from a kit but haven’t really used it much.
I’m sorry but the Glowbrasion I had in the past and have now is not the consistency of putty…in fact, I encourage the OP to watch the video demonstration here on HSN to see the consistency and see how it works etc….
Granted you might be able to find Buff Polish on eBay but it will be from a long time ago as they haven’t made it in years….
Glowbrasion does not compare to the old Buff Polish, Glowbrasion is like the consistency of putty, I did not care for it all or the smell. . I managed to find Buff Polish on ebay.
No problem! I loved the stuff and I actually still had the empty bottle in my cabinet up until about six months ago…lol…
I definitely think you’ll like the Glowbrasion….it’s soft on the skin but you feel like it’s doing something by gently exfoliating…
Let me know what you think when you get it!
Thank you, fab4gal!
BUFF POLISH…that’s it!!
I appreciate your recommendation…I will order Glowbrasion now.
So happy you have a good memory…that was driving me nuts!
Again, my thanks for posting. Xoxo
It was called BUFF POLISH….I loved that stuff!
If I were you, I would check out their product called GLOWBRASION….it smells fantastic and it is very similar to the Buff Polish…my skin feels like a baby’s bum after I use it!
