What Brand Of Hair Color Do You Use
What brand of home hair color do you use? Are you pleased with results?
I don’t use any. I am one of those lucky people who have not gone gray yet. When I do, I will let it come in naturally. My Mom never colored her hair and people always commented on how beautiful it was when it became what was called "salt & pepper". My Dad still had dark hair in his 90’s. I’m blessed with good hair genes.
Revlon Colorsilk tried and true for the last 19 years. Only $3 at Walmart and Target and very gentle, no ammonia, but permanent. I could not be any happier.
I’ve always used L’oreal Preference. It’s always done a fine job with my grey hair. I do te roots once every 5 weeks or so. You do have to extra-condition with blonde color, but since I found Tweak-ed my hair has never looked better.
I use ION from Sally Beauty Supply. If you go that route, you will need a bowl and either a brush (which I use), or a bottle, to mix. They also have ammonia free color (I haven’t tried it), and sensitive scalp developer.
The color is beautiful and makes my hair so shiny. Sally has sales all the time and that’s when I stock up. I mix two colors so I can get it tonal. It works much better and lasts a lot longer than Age Beautiful for me, which they also have on sale quite often BOGO Free. Makes it so easy to touch up.
I use Feria Color Moisturizing Treatment by L’Oreal after rinsing. It’s the same one they put in their pre-made hair color boxes.
Although I’ve been using Feria for many years, on my last trip to Sallys I got a single use packet of ION After Color Treatment, and a packet of Pre-Color Treatment. I also picked up their Absolute Perfection Booster Step 1, and Absolute Perfection Color Sealer Step 2. I need to color my hair this week and am going to try one of those sets.
If you want top of the line, get Goldwell. One of these days I’m going to try it. I really want to see what it will look like and how much of a difference there is in it and the less expensive brands.
I usually have it done at the salon with Wella color as it’s not so harsh and I don’t react to it.
With that being said with the price of the salon visits I’ve been thinking about going back to doing my roots myself and I’ve been looking on line for a good product. I’ve been watching reviews of Madison Reed hair color, has anyone used it???
I buy my hair color from Sally Beauty store and my go to brands there are ION,AgeBeautiful and also Clariol classic:womanhappy:
I like Feria very much, also Vidal Sasoon for the best results.
Mother Nature is coloring my hair:)
I really enjoy the color that comes in a foam. Find it very easy to manage. Not as harsh as others. My best favorite is John Freida. He has such pretty, and rich colors to choose from. Always been happy with this company.
Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Color Creme, for well over 20 years. Great gray coverage, no stinky smell, and always leaves my hair soft, shiny, and natural looking.
