What a ripoff Koress/HSN
After what i thought successfully ordering both the sea lavendar lotion and duo shower gels yesterday morning at 8:00 am EST … TODAY, I am informed that the sea lavendar is sold out. Of course I recieved the obligatory "we are sorry"… but ZERO offer of what they will do to help — maybe even offering to let me change to a different fragrance at the SAME SALE PRICE… NO DICE.
Seriously? How does that work exactly and how do you expect to keep customers if they are left with false orders, half orders and bs we ae so sorry. That is not customer service, that does not encourage customers — i guess it truly is all about you.
You need a new name for Customer Service there since no one in managament listens, cares or does anything to change your "policies". Your reps deserve better and so do your CUSTOMERS who pay all of your salaries.
Shame on you for offering a product not available and then waiting til the sale is over to let the customer know… then offering NO OPTIONS.
I think they call this something in marketing — bait/switch maybe?
Here’s a few items from HSN’s Conditions of Use:

Your placing an order and your receipt of an order confirmation do not constitute final acceptance of an order. Certain information may need to be confirmed prior to accepting your order. Your order, or any portion thereof, may be declined even after your receipt of an order confirmation."
I have had this happen before. I will tell you that they came through and my whole order shipped. It was a few weeks later but I got it all. Check the fragrance of the lotions when you get them. If you don’t like send back and cancel the other part. I hope it all works out for you and that you are happy in the end.
It is always disappointing when this happens, the more so the more we want the actual product. Recently I had a much bigger problem with Torrid about the same thing so HSN apparently is not the worst.
I also wonder if HSN could give us an option of switching to another fragrance/product – email/call us and ask "see lavender that you ordered is unavailable; would you like to switch to rose, guava,…?"
I am still awfully confused as to why you called that a ripoff, out of all things, since they seem to have refunded your money. As far as I can tell, you actually got a $5 spendable cash extra out of it. Why ripoff?
Oh Mutnik what a disappointment….:womansad: Just like Candace said, "They are waiting for more from the manufacturer." Your order may come in sooner than you think. This has happen to me. Don’t let it get you down. There will be a solution….HSN will take care of you. Remember the individuals taking your order work from homes (guess maybe some or more) and you might have gotten someone that just don’t care…maybe tired….or just doesn’t know how to be professional. All a guess???????? Now that Candace is on the case be assure you will be taken care of. Hope it works out for you. :womanwink:
Why make such a big deal over something so trivial! Really? I wish I had time to worry about such stupid minor things in my life
Candace: How does that work, I have to pay for the body lotion before I even know if I will get the shower gels to match and by then the 30 days is over. The lotions are aleady processed and this is not a strange thing that women want the same fragrance for both the shower and lotion.
basically half an order is being filled and after your 30 days you will <I guess> let me know if I will get the entire order — then I get to pay to ship it back? Plus, it will be after the 30 days.
Not a very customer friendly answer nor a solution to an order placed, accepted and then again after the sale is over— no options for another scent. Bad business.
That is disappointing, but you’re going to get spendable kash if your order gets cancelled. COOL!
Sorry this happened to you, Mutnik. I’ve had the same happen to me with a TS. It’s very frustrating.
