Ok…I’m not sure where to post this as I’ve seen it happen in different categories, but..what does ‘Spoiler’ mean on a post?
It has a little arrow to be able to open the comment but why is it there? And in blue?
I guess I haven’t been here long enough to know???
Rachel, it’s no biggie, it happens a lot and most people know to click on the spoiler to see the contents.
@ cindy819 and Beautyluv2…
Hi to Both!!
Thanks for the replies. I did know what a spoiler ‘was’…just not how it got onto my response in "What’s Your Best Piece of Makeup Advice" which is posted in BEAUTY.
For some reason, I obviously clicked on a little icon at the top of the posting box that is located right next to the Strikeout icon also on top…after which my post became a…SPOILER!!!
SILLY ME…I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I HAD DONE! But thanks for helping 🙂
So sorry to have bothered anyone…(back to the PC drawing board!!!)
 :smileyhappy:
A "spoiler" gives away a punchline or pivotal pieces of a story/film/book that might ruin the enjoyment for those who don’t know it already.
Here’s an example:
If you have not seen "The WIzard of Oz" and I tell you the ending, it would spoil it for you.
So a spoiler alert gives you the choice whether you wish to see that or not.
I hope that helps!
You use it like this..if you want to…an example…
How do you catch a unique rabbit?
- U nique up on it! LOL
It’s just a way to make things a little more fun on the threads but I don’t see it used much because it IS confusing.
Oops…forgot to add that now I have one…a ‘Spoiler’ thingie on a post.
Did I do something incorrectly????
