Skin not soft
I’m 46 and don’t have problems with wrinkles, but my face is not soft as it used to be. What product could help with soft facial skin? Thank you.
l agree with the exfoliating idea.
My skin never feels softer than after I do an exfoliating microdermabrasion.
My current favorite is Serious Skin Care Glycolic Gommage. It is a great product. If your skin is tougher than mine right now, the Serious Skin Care C Extreme Results is another winner. One that is a bit "milder" due to smaller particles, is philosophy microdelivery peel. It is always up there with winning reviews.
For peel pads, my favorite is Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle pads. It has more than one exfoliating ingredient and makes my skin feel super soft afterward.
I think a product with "particles" will give you the softest results.
I guess I’m going to have to breakdown soon and get the Dermatix.
Just waiting for it to go on sale with mega flex pays.
I have too many unused tips to throw it all away.
Anyone know if when it might go on sale?
I’ve been hesitant to order the new version but sadly my 2 year old KW is holding on with duck tape! 🙁
I did notice this week they’ve added 2 new tips, the target tip and the small coarse tip.
Exfoliate Efoliate Exfoilate.
1st of all your skin will be so much softer right away.
Products can’t penetrate and end up just sitting on top of dead dry skin, feel greasy
and basically are absorbed right back onto your hands because there’s no where
else for it to go.
There are lots of exfoliants out there. I’ve been using the KW Microderm360 microdermabrasion (now called DERMATIX 🙁 ) for almost 2 years.
My machine is super effective but there’s a learning curve.
You might want to start with something like a scrub if you’re not used to exfoliating.
Start trying products that exfoliate. That, along with moisturizers til you find one’s
that address your needs.
That’s the beauty of HSN’s 30 day return policy, it’s worth it weight in gold!!!!!!

I do at home chemical peels – real ones. Buy the actual fluid, do a patch test, and if alls well then do it. Also dermaplaning – a fancy word for shaving your face – not only removes all that peach fuzz, it also removes dead skin cells. And contrary to popular belief shaving does not make hair grow back heavier or corser. I use an old razor that many of our grandfathers used. You can cut yourself very easy with those blades, but when I use it on dry skin I am amazed at how much dead skin gets scraped off – yuck. Once you remove that layer of dead skin then moisturize.
It is really important to exfoliate first and then moisturize. I am an esthetician so I know of what I speak. Also exfoliation removes the dead skin cells. That way you are moisturizing skin that can really absorb it.
Jody… Welcome to the Forums! It sounds like your skin is dry and, as massha said, MOISTURIZER is the remedy. I would use one that has Vitamin C in it… did the trick for me. I also use a Serum with Vitamin C in it. I use the entire ‘derma e CoQ10’ line at Sally Beauty Supply and am extremely happy with it, *vbs*.
moisturizer. Any moisturizer. But that age thing is a tricky bugger. Doesn’t matter much what you put on face, it will age…
