Skin care line advice needed
Which skin care line should i get? I am 40, no wrinkles…..yet ( but a faint number 11 is starting to show between my brows) I have used philosophy and Mary kay in the past and am looking for a change. I used to have oily skin, but every since i started eating healthy, my skin and hair are dry. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I like the M Asam skin care products best. And Signature A foundation in the ‘For 40 years and old’ product.. Or in the summer I use a powder sunscreen mixed with Physician’s Formula powder foundation. I live in a dry area, and Signature A has the moisture I need in the winter whereas in the summer and when I’m sweating, its too much and prefer the Physician’s formula (found in drugstores and Fred Meyer)
Elysse that is the one to use. I tried serious skin care and Adriens line with no results. When I switched to Elysee I saw results. You can email or call their 800 number and they will help you with what products you should use. Hoe this helps.
I recently discovered the M Asam skincare line. Like you, I’m trying to prevent problems before they occur, and I found the hydralaunic (I can’t even say it much less spell it!) acid gives me just the right amount of hydration without the retinol irritation.
If there’s a line you are interested in trying, sign up for the e-mail alert for when the next show will be on. Then you’ll get an e-mail alert the day before the showing — and that’s when you can find some great discounts on the products!
On a whim I bought the SSC Mega Omega-3 from the Olive Oil line. It was on sale for $20 and boy is it devine! I’m thinking of using the coupon to try the entire kit.
I forgot to mention I love the fairly new hair care line at HSN called Tweaked. I use the Rise and Shine but if you have dryness issues with hair you may want to try the Moisture Line of Tweaked. Is a small learning curve but Wow it does wonders for hair and has alot of good for youy amazonian ingrediants.I just watch the presentation videos so that I learn to use correctly to get the best benefits. Oh yes like Trekky said buy in kits to save money. Who doesnt like to get the most for their money? Yes I got the TS Prai kit yesterday. Will be my first Prai purchase and I am happy to hear that you love it Trekky. I am looking forward to the kits arrival! Smiles thanks
In addition to what Stormygirl said: I like to buy in kits, that way you get the whole set of a line. For instance in Serious Skincare If you get the C line there should be serum, moisturizer, and eye cream…sometimes they put bigger kits together.
Also no matter what brand you get it might make you break out (many of us find that with any new product this happens), I get Serious Skincare Continuously Clear line which is the acne line. I don’t have to use it much now but whenever I try a new product no matter the brand it tends to break my face out.
And the kits you generally get more for your money. I also like to buy the TS like the one that Prai had the other day. Love it.
Hi Rfurrow. Yes so many products out there of all price points being hyped …. it can make your head spin. LOL. You are young and no wrinkles. just the 11 lines and dry if I understand correctly. Is your skin sensitive? So you need a good moisturizer and the start of a good anti-wrinkle protocol to address the 11’s and help stave off the second phase of wrinkles (nose to mouth in about another 8-10 years depending on genetics) Use a product with some hyralunic acid to help with mositure barrier and if you are able to tolerate you are at the age of using retinol. Retinol is a tried and true skin ingrediant that addresses many issues BUT . Have to be careful as it can also cause severe dryness issues if not gentle.. As far as HSN can try dr Graf Retinol products or Serious Skincare line also has many age and dryness products. IM sure others have some good advice as to what workls for them too. Also good time to introduce vitamin C if you are not already using C ingrediant.. Serious Skincare and SCA both have some well reviewed lines. Buy a small amount at a time until u see what works for you. Lucky the return policy is good so if something is not right for you….well you can always return for refund or exchange.I use Isomers Gluthatione line and Hexapeptide crese serum to address the 11 lines and a retinol product. For your hair have you tried Carols Daughter Manoi hair mask? Use twice a week at first and titrate to once a week with a good mosturizing shampoo. I use Suzanne Somers Naturals Shampoo and Conditioner with HSN Carols Daughter Manoi hair mask. Make sure you are getting some “oils” in your healthy diet. I also use Consult Beaute (dr Gudrow from the E TV Show “Botched) with some success. His hair and skin vitamins and liquid collagen have doen wonders for my skin and hair.. Drink plenty of water as well as this change you mentioned came after your diet change? You may be lacking something in your diet I wonder? You do not need a costly quantity of items just a few of good quality. Let us know how you are coming along with your skincare routine! I hope I didnt confuse LOL
