Signature Club A tub products should be in tubes not tubs.
I purchased and love Adrienne’s Five Essentials and Meltdown. What I don’t like are the dispensation method/tubs. Can these be packaged in squeeze tubes? It would be much more hygienic and allow less air and light to enter the products. Its yucky sticking fingers into the creams. Personally, I would be willing to pay a tiny bit more, since I am expecting to hear it will have an increased associated cost.
Many stores sell travelsized containers that you can fill with lotions and such. If you like a tube for your creams, you could fill up one of these. You would still have to scoop it out of the tub, but only to fill the container. This would be for far fewer times as compared to a daily dip into the tub.
Circlej, welcome to the forum. I understand what you are saying. I actually don’t like the squeeze tubes. They are hard for my hands to squeeze especially when they start getting low. Then I cut them in half in take a plastic knife and scoop it out and put it in a different container.
I’ve been buying packages with 6 small containers in them in the pharmacy of my grocery store. They also have some hanging in some aisles. Last ones I found were in the diaper aisle.
I started using the Five Essentials about a month ago, when it was the TS. I think I will also scoop some into the little containers and it will be hygenic and easier to use. Just didn’t think about it.
SCA did offer almost all of their products in tubes many years ago when the FAA restrictions first went into effect. Several of the creams were still offered in tubes as well as tubs once a year until a few years ago. Personally I like the containers.
Theoretically, squeeze tubes are a good idea. But when you think you’ve reached the end of the product, you haven’t. A lot of it is on the sides of the inside of the tube. When you squeeze the tube, the only thing that comes out is air. All of that product ends up getting wasted unless you cut the darn thing open.
Tubes are definitely more hygienic & less air is exposed to the product. When I get to the end of my tubes I just cut the bottom off with scissors & scoop every bit out & use it on my body to use it up. Paula Begouns books speak about cosmetics & moisturizers should be in tubes and not containers because of hygienic reasons but on my SSC tub of C cream I have been using a tiny cosmetic spatula so my fingers aren’t in the jar. Yes, I am a germaphobe.
