Serious Skincare Help
I just watched the presentation of Jennifer Stallone with Serious Skincare and I am very interested in her products. I am in my mid 30’s and I’m looking to maintain my skin. Brightness, smoothness, and prevention of lines and wrinkles. Also, lines forming under my eyes. Does anyone have a suggestion of SSC products that you would recommend or that worked for you? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
I always had clear skin, never had acne just the occasional pimple. It is light/medium, slightly freckled, I have always had redness skin….it is normal to dry but I have some wrinkles above my lip and forehead starting to show. I do have small eyelids with extra skin over the lid…. Wish I could get surgery for that. I do get puffy bags and the ointment I mentioned works great!
That eye ointment I received in the last kit made a huge, huge change in just a few days! I was using the cream that comes on top of the 5 essentials with very little change….that ointment is amazing!!!
Yes Kemi, I use the SCA retinol capsules….I do see difference since using them. I really have been very happy with the products I have been using from Adrienne Arpel’s line. My favorites are:
Vitamin C capsules
5 essentials day/night cream
RTC tube of gold eye ointment -love!
Argan day cream is also very nice
Argan body lotion-love
Those above are my very favorites so far and her kits are such a great value. Her makeup wipes are fantastic and so are the Argan makeup pads but I will not purchase separately. The kits are the way to go. The only item I have got triplicate of is the Argan taut- not much to it and I wonder why I keep them on the counter.
Thanks for all the comments and discussion. Keep it coming! It defiantly helps in making a decision on the right products to choose. It’s so easy to listen to the presentation and believe the “hype”, but it’s even better to hear from customers who’ve tried the product and can make valid suggestions. I was most interested in the SSC care line because the products are usually in kits and easy to purchase together. I also liked the specific needs (A,C, Glycolic). By all means, if there are other brands or other products that would work, I would love to hear about them. The Glycolic line looks really good and many people have suggested it. Glycolic has worked for me in the past and I hope these products have sufficient amounts. I also heard that Creamerum was good……..Geez, so may products, so little time. Would love to hear more on this topic!
Yes, I think so. I asked the dermatologist about my lines around my mouth and she said only fillers would help. She was a PA and I wasn’t all that impressed. I do have to go back next month for a mole removal. I also didn’t pick up the retin A as my sister told me I should wait because it’s summer and I go outside a lot…. Even though I wear sunscreen I think she has a valid point.
What is wrong with fillers? Just curious…
I always avoid petrolatum and mineral oil in my products, you can do a lot better than SSC. Many brands out there with much more integrity and better quality ingredients. And the addition of parabens makes it even worse.
I’m not against petrolatum, but w petrolatum at the top of this looong list, how active is the retinol? I assume the petrolatum is acting as a buffer. There r about 50 ingredients stuffed into this one product! Why sooo many essential oils? More buffering? 8 Million International Units of A…what does that mean exactly?
8 Million IU A Cream XR 4 fl oz

Suggesting you start with a Vitamin A Kit. You will get the anti-aging benefits, and fine lines and wrinkles will be addressed.
? I like SSC Glycolic Cleanser and Pads a lot. I tried the A line, and it was alright, but not amazing, so I returned it. I have some questions about the ingredient deck. I have switched to SCA Retinol Capsules. I have not used the C line. I am currently using Paula’s Choice (not on HSN) and Korres Wild Rose for vitamin C. The SSC Pure Peptide Pads did not seem to improve my sun damage.
