Perlier TS – shelf life
I was wondering how long the giant bottles stay "fresh" if unopened. I realized I still have an unopened White Almond on the shelf from last year,
I thought I heard Skip say the bottles will last for 3 years opened which seems like a very long time to me. I would be skeptical to keep something this long. I wonder if he meant 3 years unopened? I ordered the olive oil and can’t wait to try it. I usually buy Korres which I adore but wanted to try Perlier this time. I probably will also order the Korres when it comes up as a Today’s Special as it always leaves my skin so silky and smooth even in the dead of winter. I am out of my Korres and I already can tell a difference in my skin. I hope the Perlier works as good as the Korres.
Does anyone know how to open the giant bottles of bath wash? Been trying to open my new Freesia scented thing for 4 hours. No luck. Guess it LOOKS good in the bathroom anyway.
I’ve never tried Korres but to me the Perlier is better than Philosophy sold on the other shopping channel lol
I live in NJ which is really cold in the winter and since I switched to Perlier I haven’t had that winter dry skin. I’m really happy with it 🙂
Hi Kidznpupz; I’ve heard Skip and Amanda say the shelf life is 2 years unopened. I take that into consideration when I am stocking up. So far, I haven’t had any problems as long as it stays sealed. I love it so much and have stocked up too, so I’ll get back to you if I notice a change and I also love Korres too!! HSN has too many products to love!! :womanembarrassed::heart:
Three years unopened and one year opened.
I think that the product should be dated. People keep the product for gift – who knows when they will use it. The date would be helpful. I found a 3 liter bottle of White Almond while cleaning a closet. It wasn’t bought in 2016. The Customer Service person says I bought it in 2014.
I took advantage of their sales the last couple of times they were on. I plan on gifting some of it and am depending on them staying good. I have the Imperial Honey Bath Cream that I want to open so bad and smell. I am giving it to my daughter for her birthday in March if I can stay out of it. I want to add that I did Perlier a disservice when I wrote a review for their bath cream. I had bought a 3 gallon bottle and couldn’t get any lather out of it. Then when I bought a nylon thingie (the word for it just flew out of my head!!!), it made all the difference in the world. I use 3 pumps and that’s all I need. I would change my negative review to a positive one if I could.
I have opened Perlier products from 3 years ago and it’s still fine.
I’ve also learned to decipher production or manufacture dates. Unfortunately every manufacturer uses their own different code of letters and number. On Perlier products it is usually that 6 digit code that is printed or stamped on the product (the crimp if it is a tube) or the box. I have noticed the newest ones like the Honey Lavaredo that was introduced last year start with a 6, which means it was produced in 2016. When I figured this out, I went through all my Perlier so I would use up the oldest first. If it starts with 1 it was made in 2011, 2, 2012 and so on.
I have gotten sale items that pop up, one was a Tai Coconut hand cream that was made in 2011, but I did not find its efficacy effected at all, but I made it a priority to use it up. In other words, I am using Perlier products made in 2012 & 2013 that I find absolutely no problem with. I would suggest NOT opening it, because the product begins to deteriorate the moment it is exposed to air.
This is so wierd. I just happened to “stop in” and wondered if I should ask a question and low and behold, there on a 11/7 post (2nd post) is the reply to my unasked question! WOW! WOW! Thank you kidz! 🙂
