Need a GOOD facial cleanser for someone over 60 years old
Hi everyone: I don’t ever post here but I am in desperate need for a good facial cleanser. I am almost 62, have oily Tzone, I get blackheads on my nose & chin. I have mila which I know skincare is not going to get rid of but I am finding my skin is getting more sallow looking as well. I have SSC glyolic facial wash but I don’t use it everyday (have had it too long, time to throw out) and I have 2 others – one from Burt Bee’s and one I bought in Ulta, can’t remember the name but it was not expensive. Neither of the 2 are doing anything for my skin other then making them smooth. I need something to clean out the pores, help with the sallowness and some firming would not be bad either.
Any help would be appreciated – I would rather not pay $40 for something, but anyone who has had good luck themselves using a certain brand I would love to hear from.
Thank you all in advance, have a great week-end.
Sweetwater1, I am 58, 59 in Dec. go on Amazon and buy an inexpensive facial steamer. Then go buy Peter Thomas Roth pumpkin exfoliating mask, it will totally clean your pores and refine them, and it smells fabulous. Do this 3 times a week and you will see great results.
Thanks everyone – I do have the glycolic cleanser, the facial brush – the glycolic pads (just started using them) & grommage. I will look into getting more pads & cleanser. I ordered the glycolic night cream then got an email that it’s out of stock – not sure what happened but it’s on back order. I am looking to get rid of my Prai stuff, not a fan and start over with SSC. I think I need to get some Vit. C or A along with glycolic.
I have 2 bottles of Paula’s 2% AHA that came with a Today’s Special a few months back & I had a bottle started already which I just finished & I don’t care for it all. It did nothing for me & will be getting rid of the 2 unopened bottles, won’t use them anymore. Many people have had good luck with that stuff but not me – no improvement.
Have a great night & thank you all again.
? ssc has some good specials this weekend. there are several choices and i am sure that something will work well for you. it sounds like you need something that will “resurface.” the glycolic might be good. the ssc clensing brush is good, too. @kemiqueen always has GREAT suggestions.
i know that you don’t want to pay a lot, but the one area where it’s a safe bet to spend your money is for good skin care, especially facial care. check out the specials, you’ll get a good deal. i hoep it works out for you. good luck. nik
I like CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, and Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid.
