Magnetic eyelashes. Anyone?
On my fb newsfeed I saw an ad for magnetic eyelashes. I’ve read up on the product and watched several YouTube videos. Some loved them some hated them. I decided to give it a try. Hefty price, you get four eyelashes for 70$ what sparked my interest is that as I age, my eyelashes are thinner and short. Also I thought this was I could get away from washing mascara off my eyes every night, but read it helps to have mascara on to hold these in place. If you aren’t familiar with the product, you get an upper and lower lash and it’s held together by a tiny magnet. There are three lash styles, original, bold and a filler I’m getting the original
I’ll let you all know my experience once they arrive. In the meantime, I wondered if anyone has tried them and if so, their thoughts on the product
I found that for me, the easiest method to apply is to place the bottom lash on first, pushing it into my natural lashes (here’s where the mascara helps to hold it it position while you get the top lash ready); then place the top lash into position and give an exta squeeze together once the magnets connect. I use my fingers, although I think it would be easier to use tweezers–but I keep connecting the tweezers with the eyelash magnet and thus pulling them off! LOL!
Give it some practice….you will get it. Once they are on, the stay on all day. I even napped with them on.
Karinanns, good to read your review I received mine today and am having quite the time trying to get them on. I’ll give it a few more days before I make up my mind as to if I’ll return them. I bought the original. I have more of rounded eyelid and they seem to not conform very well Also my 2 sets of lashes is missing one lower lash, so I know I’ll need to contact the company anyway
I have had them for about two weeks, and i wear them everyday. I apply my mascara as usual and let it dry (while I finish putting on the rest of my makeup). Then I put these,on as the last step. They are for the outer half of your lashline, which is why you need to wear mascara….it would look odd if you didn’t. It does take practice …but once you get the hang of it they go on quickly.
I love them! I have the bold and they look very pretty on the eye. They stay in place and are very comfortable to wear. I forget I have them on. You ‘re-use them day after day, so between both pairs they should last a long time. I haven’t touched the second pair, and probably won’t for some time.
I had not heard of them but can’t wait to here how they work for you.
I am wary of the idea of both leaving mascara on and having magnets that close to my eyes for any length of time.
Even a weak magnet has a polarity that is not natural to the body. Hopefully they will not have a negative impact on eyesight long term.
Magnets are used in many alternative therapies for the body but only for short treatments….. don’t get stuck to anything! LOL
I have read about them in the past and just looked them up. You will have to wear mascara with the original since they are partial in length. The demos look like they would feel “heavy” since you are sandwiching your own lashes between two sets of falsies. Let us know how they work for you.
Lori… yeah, let us know what you think. It’s an awful lot of money for these. I use regular False Eyelashes and love them.
