Have HSN on as background and I just saw that Lilibeth. Its cutting and shaving hair but the vendor said its not a blade. It’s a "beauty tool". Its shaving hair obviously because the hair is coming off. So I don’t understand how this tool prevents hair coming back stubbly. I would be scared to put a blade on my face. All I need is a stubbly beard to start growing to replace peach fuzz!
:womanembarrassed:OoOOops so I should not have posted and asked my question, I am very very sorry, I have no fuzz yet, but plenty of eyebrows that would meet and an Italian Mustache that’s so very dark, and I am still using waxing. Censoring my big X MOUTH, I carry the mini lint roller in my pocketbook for my mascara strays. xoxoxox
I shave my face….my whole face…chin, cheeks, forehead…ALL of it. I pretty much eradicated all the dark hairs I had with the Tria, but I can’t stand the peach fuzz. And although I was kind of tersely told on this board, that the Lightstim cannot cause hair growth, I do think it caused me an out-of-control, growth spurt of fuzz. I finally just gave in and reached for the razor and never looked back. I love my smooth hair-free face! And yes, my makeup looks SOOO much better…and NO, my facial hair does not grow back heavier and darker.
Ok Tamrick. I am glad it works. I know it stings on the upper lip for sure. .I think your awesome and don’t ask anyone to make decisions. I just posted my help because of my horrible struggles with hair on my face. I was fibrocystic and its a misery. I see young girls who are fibrocystic which causes alot of facial hair and acne. Bad on both ends to grow up with and not have a mom to tell. So when I see a blade and shaving facial hair I lost it. My epilator saved my life. I am not gifted in makeup, hair or anything in the grooming department. I keep it simple. I am sorry. If that tool is helping you then its probably helping alot more and its all about feeling good about yourself.
Glad you found yours and I am happy with mine. I am super clumsy and just had a horrid vision of chopping off half an eyebrow. I plucked way too much when I was 12 and didn’t know better and horrified no one said anything at all to me. I only know from one pathetic picture I found when I was that age. I had almost no eyebrows!! One row of hair. I wished I had some kind person to ask about eyebrows…but I didn’t. I knew mine were big that’s it. Point is that saying things empower us. You taught me something I didn’t know. Thank you. Its about sharing not judging. I guess the blade made me over react. I use a very gentle epilator and its for the face. Its such a gift in my life because the hair has kicked back from growth finally. Anyhow I am nobody. My opinions are not important. Yours are and so are your feelings. There’s no hip or cool. There’s just fabulous you! I am retiring. Take care!
Hope you didn’t get hurt.
I bought it during beauty day event. It doesn’t work well for me..it wasn’t worth returning so I kept it.
OMG. It’s still shaving your face and even at an angle its the same concept. Right Cindy! As a mammal we all have hair on every inch of our skin. It may be all different on different people.
I honestly don’t need to tell personal information but will share for ladies with facial hair. Get a facial EPILATOR!! It’s the best invention and best hair removal out there. For years I have been doing the peach fuzz on my face and the worst part and nightmare was the chin!!! No No burned me. Too blonde for laser. Now I just go over it once a month. Hair is weak, soft and a non issue. The first 2 uses sting but it’s good discomfort to avoid stubble. I use it for underarms, legs too with one for the body. Have not touched a razor for years!! Try an epilator!!!
Honestly just disturbed with this tool. Never would I trust myself with a sharp blade near my eyebrows since that’s disfiguring and don’t easily grow back if ever! That tool scares me. Reminds me of that blade they used in barbershops to shave men’s beards in the 40’s or 50’s. Probably earlier than that….so over 100 years old! We use better tools now because of the invention of electricity!!!!
I must say I purchased it as I wanted to try it out & I am hooked. I used it to take off the peach fuzz as the vendor was describing & my foundation looked much better & no stubble. I was on the fence for about 6 months with this but glad I bought it. Only thing make sure you keep it at an angle or you will nick yourself. I also used it on my husbands neck instead of getting the trimmers out to clean up the neckline. When I wax I get a serious allergic reaction & I am a blue eyed blond so you can imagine the redness & it doesn’t go away for hours so this is working for me. And it is of good quality not chintzy made. Just my opinion.
:womanfrustrated:Why are women shaving their faces??? do they realize stuble grows in and if they tear apart what’s inside a Serum or Cream, LOL, ooooopsy but this item gets me everytime they sell this Crap, yes 2 for $1buck on streets of New York. Bad enough I go to get waxed for my eyebrows, and Italiano Mustache, yep, can’t help it, Why, does this object sell??
It is a blade. It’s a wire-wrapped blade, and a very expensive one at that. The hair doesn’t grow back quite as stubbly because it doesn’t make as blunt of a cut.
That being said I think they’re great, especially for upper lip and chin hair. I keep one in the glove compartment now instead of a tweezer.
The ones from the drugstores don’t fold, instead they have a little plastic sleeve to protect the blade, and they don’t have a New York City salon’s name printed on them. They usually come in packs of 3 for only $5 or less.
In the features it says……..
- Durable stainless steel-coated sculptor blade
And it warns that it is sharp.
That has a blade in it…you can get something just like it but smaller at walmart… and it’s called a brow shaper.. it has an ultra fine blade in it with the comb like teeth over it…there are 3 in a pack..for $4? I used to buy them to trim up my hubby’s neckline before he let his hair grow. But this looks just the same just bigger.
