Lancôme Le Duo Contour and Highlighter
I don’t understand the poor reviews. I love the results. I use with Tyra’s blush and my cheek bones pop. I can’t believe how easy it is to get professional looking results. I bought this prior to finding out that Lancôme uses animals for testing. Bums me out because it’s a great product. Come on Lancôme, change your practices and I bet your sales will soar.
Ok —I am as well not wanting to go into Peta or China- I applaude PETA—They are APPLAUDING -LOREAL/LANCOME for a few brands marked safe/clear by LOREAL , yet I agree until Loreal signs some form of public notice some will continue to boycot. I do not think LOREAL would lie on their own website- loop holes or not- ALSO IT WOULD BE MY CHOICE TO SIGN PETA- PETA has a reputation for doing a little damage as well.
I MIGHT UNDERSTAND WHY LOREAL HAS YET TO MAKE A PUBLIC ADD, AS THEY CONTINUE TO CORRECT CHINA AND THE WAY CHINA IS DOING ANIMAL TESTING-
I do not want to again jump onto the CHINA thread yet somwhow CHINA has lost consideration for so much let alone animals.
PETA might have angered LOREAL to the point that they refuse to give in and sign. LOREAL is wealthy enough to take out their own site to counteract- PETA again has used tacts that some will never wish to be associated with.
LOREAL/LANCOME USA IS NO LONGER DOING ANIMAL TESTING AS OF 2013- BEAUTYBOY
P.S. I love and treat all pets better than most people-
Thank you thisgoesto11, exactly what I have been trying to say. With all the negative publicity, it seems that L’Oreal would do a massive ad campaign to let the public know their new position. Since they are staying quiet with the exception of their website, I feel as if they aren’t being completely honest. Especially their answer for why they don’t label their products cruelty free. Since this has been discussed many times on the forums, I hope HSN will pass this on to Lancome and let them know animal testing is a valid concern for many community members. Sometimes being quiet is a sign of guilt. Until I hear a clear statement from a Lancome employee, I am done buying L’Oreal.
Sorry BB, but there is additional information on PETA’s site that contradicts your posts. I feel they are using corporate loop holes to play both sides. Just my opinion.
BLOOMBERG -Chinese regulators require animal tests, and L’Oreal always abides with local regulations, the company said in a statement. L’Oreal says less than 1 percent of its total safety tests on cosmetics ingredients involve animals. It has set up a reconstructed skin facility in China specifically for Asian testing and is working with local authorities on alternative approval methods.
thisgoesto11—I am not in support of buying from China-This is what Loreal website said/quote in full. "FULL "
L’Oréal was able to end all testing of its products on animals, without making our products any less safe. Since March 2013, the Group has taken another decisive step: The Group no longer tests on animal, anywhere in the world, and does not delegate this task to others. An exception could be made if regulatory authorities required it for safety or regulatory purposes.—-I again am standing behind my knowledge that LOREAL/LANCOME -DO NOT-TEST ON ANIMALS- If China is taking the product and infact doing so then it would be China. We are not using Loreal yet we are using LANCOME- LANCOME being owned by LOREAL- does not test on animals- So you left out the ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD—-So ?????
Again this China/America BUYING AND USING MADE IN CHINA has been a topic of debate several times here in the HSN FORUM. I again do not use any product that is tested on animals. Loreal was in China before I was even born- I am sure this will be the next HOUSE/CLEANING LOREAL will do. They did not just start allowing China free reign over cruelty to animals.
The Lauders are involved as well in stopping this. Again I am in no way skirting the issue but defending LOREAL/LANCOME PARIS-USA-THAT NO ANIMAL TESTING IS DONE- China is seemingly taking free reign. I cannot stop or change a deal made with China many years ago I can tell you I again stand correct that LOREAL/LANCOME DOES NOT TEST ON ANIMALS.
China is to once again to blame. I cannot speak for anything China does- BEAUTYBOY
Southernlights—-I can tell you that LANCOME does not use animal testing in any way- This news is sadly still being allowed to be on all search- Lancome stopped late in the game being March of 2013
So you can trust this to be the truth- BeautyBoy:smileywink:
