I thought I might like to give this a try today only to find one review and no demo video to help with my decision. I also called our local Sephora and was told they no longer carry Korres. Also checked out Sephora and Ulta sites and they don’t carry Korres any longer. So I have to assume HSN will be the only place we can buy Korres. All this said it might be a good idea to have their representative supply HSN with some demos, color charts, etc. Every time Korres has a show it’s all about shower gel and body butter. If the product is available at HSN then why not present it on air?
BEAUTYBOY…..my face and I have decided on L’Oreal true match N4 buff beige foundation. It really looks natural, it’s buildable and feels light on my skin. It was helpful that their site helped match me up with the right shade. I wanted to let you know and thank for your help and suggestions. By the way Korres medium is a total no no for me unless it’s Halloween and I went out dressed as a banana, :smileylol:
Daisy …So many foundations now are to yellow based. This was a trend that started back in the mid 90’s with the B BROWN line.
With alot of natural lines this is a huge problem,as adding rose to neutralize the yellow is a problem.
Have you looked at SMASHBOX HALO as in the past they have always offered a neutral and not so pink or yellow based foundation.
Will be glad to help if you have any questions
I purchased and tried the Korres foundation right after it came out on HSN.
I got the lightest shade available. It is a nice foundation as to application.
It was, however, way too yellow for my skin tone. I have this problem repeatedly trying to find the right foundation.
I do get tired of the bath/body stuff always on.
Taci–She is after me for posting about other foundations as I have stated I will only promote HSN.
It is not directed to you.
I will never not suggest a .com in reference and she knows I have tried to promote HSN foundations but it is to do with my CHANEL and other mentions.
No it is not directed to you—-Do check out the MAKEUP/SKINCARE SITE–Im their and all of this confusion can and will be avoided-
Thanks Kim. It just was my understanding that a post was from someone looking on HSN who lives in Greece. Oddly enough it must be meant to be humerous and I followed the post between the two reading how Korres was more expensive in Greece. I think some people posting might be having fun at others expense. It’s extremely sad.
Taci..Lorac is one of the best. I don’t think we should promote products from other websites or stores other than what is on HSN. After all these forums are for HSN products. I also find it odd that some people have tried and have knowledge of every beauty brand that exists? Strange.
HSN ships to Greece? WOW ??
They don’t ship to Canada as far as I understand. So its even cheaper to buy Korres on HSN even if you have it locally with shipping and handling to Greece. That’s fantastic. Its a real tough thing to find that great foundation, however, HSN has multiple brands of fabulous beauty brands with descriptions and pictures of shades. I think it would not be too difficult to find a great shade as most people can easily identify their own complexion color by looking in the mirror and from purchasing previous shades. Many HSN products have makeup that adjusts to your skin tone or come with 2shades already to customize and blend. Good luck in Greece. Opa!
BEAUTYBOY……..Thanks for the leads. I’m making notes and will check them out. I was so surprised when you mentioned Rimmel!! Thanks again, you’re a gem!
TACI, I strongly disagree with BB. The SCA lip wands you ordered are extremely drying to the lips. I have never had a problem with SCA traditional lipsticks breaking. They are very creamy and moisturizing but I really don’t like the colors offered.
BEAUTYBOY the foundation name is Equalizer smart makeup for combo skin. 2N1 DAWN 05.
And my skin is light to medium so I think I could wear ybf’s medium shade.
ZuzusPetals my mistake……Sephora has other Korres products on line…..no Foundation. Our Sephora is inside JCP which makes it the size of a closet with absolutely no choices when it comes to anything you want.
The ULTA here isn’t much better and I didn’t care for their CS either. So I havent’ been back.
I was just in my Sephora store & they had lots of Korres items. I also just checked on line & Sephora does carry Korres. I do not see foundation, but I do see many of the Korres products I use in the same size I get from HSN. Their selection for products I use is not as extensive as I find on HSN. Sephora also does not bundle products like HSN, which means they can’t touch the price I get my Korres for at HSN. We all should know by now that HSN are the masters of bundling. 95% of my Korres came in a bundle, kit, set, duo, trio, 4 piece, 5 piece collection, TSV, event priced, this day only…you get the idea.
If you want to try the foundation HSN would be the perfect place to shop since you have 30 days to see if you like it, or return it.
I’m not sure what retail stores return policies are. I have only ever tried to make 1 return to Ulta ( 3- Bare Minerals Ready touch up veil’s 4.5 g/ 0.15oz very tiny ~sold in stores before the full size came out). I bought 3 & was so excited to try mine that I opened it in the car as my daughter was driving & put some on my face. After a bit, I was smelling something musty….not a good smell. I realized it was the Bare Minerals veil I had just put on my face. I opened the remaining 2 & they smelled the same…..stinky, like they had been damp & got musty. Back to the store….to the same clerk/manager that rang us out & explained what had just happened. He went from a over the top glad to have your business make-up expert to ….a "seriously you want to do a return scowl" as he looked down his nose at us. WHAT ? Really , same person, & the store manager to boot. He took the 2 "new" ones back since they had no sign of use, but would not take back the one I had tried. That to me is NOT good customer service. I have gone from buying ALL my Bare Minerals there to buying none at that store.
from what i understood that Korres is comming out with other things and products in the near future and we are the only dealers Nettea 5.42 pm 1/9/ 2015
hey beautyboy……took a look at ybf….would have ordered but no medium shade in stock at HSN or on her web site. ybf creamy compact sounds heavy as in concealer and I don’t want that much coverage. Smashbox Halo…..also went to Sephora to check out their video and customer comments. Not completely sold on it.
fyi….I have med skin tone w/olive…..brown hair and eyes. What’s left of my Estee is a neutral shade. So when I was looking ar foundations they either looked way to pink or way too yellow. What a chore. I found something that worked and now EL doesn’t make it anymore and when I spoke with their rep they told me they did not have an alternative to my shade. Like gee thanks!:womanmad: Now you’ve lost me as a customer, right:smileylol:
Thanks for the tip beautyboy. I’ve decided I’m not paying an arm and a leg for foundation any longer. Decided L’oreal had some good choices. I took what I had left of my Estee Lauder, with for comparison – which of course they have discontinued – but the store clerk could not break seals on L’oreal items. So I came home empty handed.
Now if Korres would have had demos, etc. and there would have been customer comments I probably would have given it a try.
Today I’ll check out YBF and save myself some leg work, lol
beautyboy I appreciate the idea as 2 colors are my best choice.
I wear YBF mixed with Revlon. DL
