Just a little "RANT!"……………
Why do people review a beauty product when they have only used it a couple of days, and then say it doesn’t work. Most face products take at least 30+ days to see even the littlest results. I think HSN should not allow a product to be reviewed until after 30 days of use!!!!
Hi wildetta, most folks want instant gratification! Open up the jar of cream put it on and poof I look the way I really want to. You are so right it takes time to see a difference when using a topical product. Also, not to be critical of the vendors but often times when they do the ‘live’ before and afters demonstrating the products people get the idea this product will work instantly. When in reality the before is with a person w/o any make up the after may have the model in full make up or a little make up. If I did a before w/o make up and then with make up you would believe it was two different people.
It would also be nice if people held onto the email to review until they actually get the product instead of wasting their review space griping about why the got the email so soon!! LOL
Hello wilddietta, how are you today? First off, there is a delay before we can leave feedback on an item, I am still waiting for several feedbacks to leave. I love to try the item, and then go back to the actual airing, and replay it several times, I read all the information, and then will ask questions within this forum if anyone purchased the same item. Normally I shred the paper it comes with from HSN after about 2 weeks, that means it’s good, what I , and I am enjoying the item, I wish everyone would wait at least three weeks to review their item, unless it has come broken, then just contact A Pleasant Customer Rep from HSN, they are always very pleasant with me, no problems with HSN, ever. 🙂 toffeedude xoxoxo
Hi, wilddietta. I hear ya. For an immediate allergy or reaction to a product, I could see leaving a review fairly soon, but yeah, skin products take time. I have just recently started waiting longer to review items, to see how fabric launders, for instance, or how an appliance holds up after several uses. That way I can leave a more detailed review. And I have always felt that we should be able to REVISE reviews, to update others as to how an item has held up long term.
Also, for items that take a while to see improvement, such as skin products, HSN should consider extending our return period. I could have sworn that a year or so ago there was an extended return period of 60 days for the No!No! during a presentation. It would be nice if skin serums/creams/etc. fell into this category. It isn’t as if returns on these products need to get back into inventory for others to buy them. (ick!)
For those that give reviews before really using the product….just because HSN sends an email, practically as soon as you receive the product, does not mean you have to give an answer immediately.
When I go to my order history, I see where I can review an item no matter how old it is. So wait until
you really know how you feel about the product and save yourself a lot of aggravation.
True, longer time periods to return product would be great, but where else could we even buy
skin products, and have as much time to return, as we already do.
I have been with HSN for many many years and have not had any problems with them whatsoever.
