Jamie OBanion, Beauty Bioscience – Muted Beauty Report Presentation Reveals Lack of Integrity
Jamie’s performance on air is consistently unacceptable. Not only was her presentation repeatedly muted last night, but she makes false, unauthorized, and exaggerated claims every time she visits HSN.
Like another poster said, Jamie’s “real retinol products are yellow” statement is misleading the audience and insulting to other vendors.
I have stayed away from Beauty Bioscience, for this behavior has made a very poor impression on me. What happened to INTEGRITY?
I hope that I am not the only one who feels this way.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? 🙂
She misleads where else Beauty Bioscience is sold. She repeatedly says it is sold at Neiman Marcus. It is not. They sell the Glopro in some branches. It is only sold on-line through Guthy-Renker, so there is really no comparative retail price.
? ? @JAMIEOBANION i think that we should change the word “needles” to “kitten wiskers” :cattongue:  jamie, exactly what is the length of the kitten wiskers on the glopro? nik
? thank you for your response. you are as kind and smart as you are beautiful! i just recieved my glopro a coule of hours ago. i am looking forward to using it and seeing results. i am a little nervous to try it though, too. i don’t want to over-do it. i have had professional microneedling done (five sessions) and had some down-time with few results. i have the R45 but i know not to use them at the same time. I will watch the online demonstration before i do anything. thank you for responding to this thread. thanks, nik
? Thank you for addressing the length of the needles. I think addressing this will help in making ones decision on buying the GloPRO. I think if you addressed this during your presentations it would be a great help. As not everyone comes to the Community. Again, thank-you.
? Hi Jamie O’Banion, I have to give you props too for reading the comments and responding. I haven’t noticed any vendor’s who have done that. I think it’s classy of you and courageous. :smileyhappy:
? your efforts paid off – congrats!!!:womanvery-happy: Now we have the answer to retinol color. Prescription strength white, and in retail products the deeper the yellow color means the more retinol content. Correct ???? Thanks.:smileyhappy:
?, thank you for taking the time to respond to the many questions that were posed and clarify some of the concerns posted in various threads. It was very kind and generous of you, I’m sure your participation will be appreciated by many. :smileyhappy:
Hi Pointe Shoes!
Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts on this thread. I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have. We take great lengths to ensure the integrity of both our products and presentations. At a quick glance, it appears you have some concerns regarding the following:
1) Patent for GloPRO: We currently hold the patent for all microneedling tools- used alone or with bioactive product. The patent number is US 8,376,984 and was filed by my father and partner Dr. Terry James over 11 years ago. You are correct, it is unfortunate that many companies have begun to knock off our technology that we launched in the medical space prior to bringing to retail after our patent issued.
I’ve provided a link if you’d like to read the patent in its entirety. http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect2=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&d=PALL&RefSrch=yes&Query=PN%2F8376984.
2) Needle length of GloPRO: The GloPRO needle length is .3 mm. Anything beyond .3 mm (.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm and 2 mm) are reserved for medical administration only. Our needle length reaches just to the edge of the epidermis and dermis – the ideal stimulation junction for regular use.
3) Retinol Color: Regarding retinol color. There are three primary forms of retinol. They are retinol, retinyl palmitate and retinoic acid. Retinoic acid (generic name tretinoin and non-generic name Retin-A) is available only through a physician’s office, and is the only form of retinol that can be white. This form is effective, but it has intense side effects for the majority of consumers and takes about 6 months of regular use to see visible benefits.
Anything you buy at retail must contain either retinol, retinyl palmitate or a blend of the two. Retinol and retinyl palmitate are a deep, rich yellow in their raw material form. It is absolutely impossible to bleach either of these raw materials to turn them white, which is what we reference on air. You can gauge retinol concentration in an OTC product by its tinge of yellow. The higher the concentration the deeper the color. R45 contains a patented blend of retinol, retinyl palmitate and a new retinol molecule we created to achieve exceptional results.
Regarding on-air statements, you are correct, I referenced a celebrity that uses our technology and a word we use in the clinical space to describe microneedling. I was unaware of the conflict during the presentation and will replace verbiage in the future. HSN does a fantastic job of vigilantly curating terminology, and I also appreciate customers like yourself and those below caring enough to share their thoughts so I can continually improve my communication with our BBS fans – current and future! 🙂
Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know about. Skincare is my passion, and I am happy to answer any other questions you have.
Have a great day!
Ms. Jamie has joined the conversation. Ooops now she’s gone.
? hi sassy, sorry, i read down and saw that you haven’t used the glopro. i got the four-step program, but i am going to wait until summer is over to start it. any tips are welcome.
?hi sassy, by any chance are you using the glopro? if so, what do you think of it? also, is the retinol 45 different than the retinol that is a three, or, four-step program? did you have any sun sensitivity? :catvery-happy: i really appreciate your feedback. also, i think that jamie is stunningly beautiful! what skin!!!!
WOW. Well #pointeshoes you ask what were our thoughts and I have personally used all of the Bio science products with the exception of a few. Their retinol 45 is fantastic and so is the cleansing cream . It sounds like you’re being a bit harsh. I think she’s just being enthusiastic about her product. I have certainly seen more exaggerated claims on the show from other products that don’t perform like Bio science does . I totally disagree with you and think she does a great job during her presentations and with integrity. The product speaks for itself. She does not look as if she’s had any plastic surgery, just young and healthy looking skin. I’ve seen her father on the show and he is very nice looking older gentlemen and great skin as well. I think that’s a bit of a stretch to be saying she does not have integrity. I have found that everything she says has been true. And they certainly believe in their company and its products.
Every vendor has a program and the knowledge if they own the company and work to make the products. Jamie is beautiful by nature, and she wants to stay that way as long as possible I would believe that she would not compermise her integrity by telling lies. I use these products and how found them to be a showstopper where aging is concerned.
? GOOD ONE, PattyF… GOOD ONE. Perfect reply and probably absolutely true! :smileyvery-happy::smileyhappy:
