It burns, it burns ,,,,, SSC
I am not so sure why so many of SSC products burn my skin. I have read the labesl, and yes there are chemicals as with all products, but this stuff burns. From eye cream to C line it works great for a week and then suddenly and slowly red rash marks start showing and even some scabbing days after I stop using any of the items. I will say the A line they have is the only thing that does not adversely effect my face, but then again with only .75% retinol in the serum and a .001% in the cream no wonder there is no burn.
? ? hi i began to not be able to tolerate c products, too. i became sensitive to sca’s c capsules.. i learned that c products are awful for some people and that some people should absolutely avoid c in their facial products. people with certain autoimmune deseases, especially discoid lupus, will have a horrible reaction. a combination of c products and the sun becomes almost toxic. the problem is that often people with autoimmune problems don’t know they have such a problem until they feel awful and go to the doctor. i really wish that the vendors of the skin products really informed us about how and why ingredients work and who should be careful. those who sell skin care and who are actually doctors should inform us, rather than just getting us excited about anti-aging. i guess that’s what the 30 day money back guarantee is for, but it doesn’t matter is your face is burning.:cattongue:
I used the “C” line decades ago ad loved it. At some point they added “C” esters and my face turned extremely red and could no longer use the line. It’s unfortunate because I liked the line and the price was right.
EEEEEEEEEEE…… NOT FOR ME
I read this loud and clear. I just want to be of assistance and a friend. The best thing is to go to a Dermatologist to get something favored for you. My opinions do not count hear.
I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the SSC line the “C” line is very good. One thing I do know everyone can react differently to anything we eat or put on our skin. If you are using many products that may cause problems.
I limit what is used on my skin so there is no down time or waste of money.
I had also had yrs with the SSC line so I can tell when my skin is in need of a little extra TLC. Best of care for you friend.
I had the exact opposite with SSC, i couldnt use anything on my skin til i found SSC, i could use everything, and the best part was imediate results. i feel i won the skin care lottery, its been 14 yrs now.
Thanks for sharing your experiences w SSC! Since I do not have sensitive skin, I have not had such reactions. This is helpful for my research.
I couldn’t use the C products especially because they burned me so…
Where is our Serious Friend from SSC who usually comes onto the forum to discuss the brand w us? Now wouldn’t that be helpful? Prob not.
? yeah right!!! remember him in the 70’s? wooooo hoooooo! the italian stallion! and in rocky…oh man…forget about it! i like them as a couple  oh yeah…back to ssc, i think one product claims to do too much. i get dizzy watching the presentations and they are still selling the “face twitcher” !!!! am i missing something? does this really work? i gave it an honest try.
I bought a kit one time of SSC and I haven’t had any issues with it burning, BUT, there are too many chemicals in their products. Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies and I’m not paying good money to buy toxins! I’m looking at the bottle of Glycolic Cleanser and the SECOND INGREDIENT IS Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate. I’ll pass. Most skin care I know is junk though.
I do like the little brush that they make though! Many don’t feel it working but I see it working! And boy do I wish her Husband would join her on a show. LOL. I’ve always had a crush on Stallone!:heart::heart:
? you have that BEAUTIFUL skin! be careful. no, no, no to burning or itching for your rose petal face! nik
? hi, i totally agree with you. i go overboard because jennifer gets so excited, but in the end i just am not that impressed. the egg isn’t a good idea for everyone and i am glad that you didn’t use it. the current is strong and depending on where it is placed is just a bizarre feeling. you might have had some real pain. really, i am glad that you didn’t use it. i use m.asam and LOVE IT. i am using perlier and m. asam almost exclusively and think that they both are wonderful.
i know @kemiqueen likes elysee, but i haven’t used it for a while. maybe i should give it a try again. i agree with ?. we really have to open things right away and try them out, but read the warnings first. i probably should have returned the egg, but they kept saying to give it a chance. i hope it all goes well with you. nik
I had itching and slight burning with all except the neck and dec cream so the line is a no for me.
i stopped using ssc. i just wasn’t seeing the results that i was expecting. i had, and have, many jars and tubes still. some things i really dislike. i do, however, love the omega 3 o.o. it is a lifesaver in really cold weather. and i use the c clean every day. i like it.
when i received the gycolic retexturizing pads the instructions didn’t say whether it should be washed off. (i called, couldn’t get through) i finally used them but felt that i should rinse my face afterward. i think that my skin is just too sensitive. something that i was using in the line just made my skin irritated. i just keep the products and use them on my arms, legs etc, and that is fine. i even use the leftover reverse lift on my arms. i just absolutely can’t stand the smell of that product. i went back to perlier for the face products.
i got the ssc facial-shocker-thing and grew to hate it. i used it the way i was supposed to. it’s very uncomfortable and it has to be reset…not good. anyway, i really didn’t see results. they PROMISED we would see results. i became worried by the warnings and in the end just felt it wasn’t worth it. did anyone get results?
i am just sort of out-of-love with ssc right now.
i am fair-skinned, sensitive and thought that i could tolerate acids well, but the wipes just didn’t agree with me. i felt “chemical” when i left it on. i didn’t notice smaller pores. i would rather exfoliate with korres wild rose buff cleanser.
my skin care is a big routine for me. i do a facial massage with every use. and sunscreen is a year-round must…ok, maybe not in a rain or snow storm, but every single day, otherwise. good luck, all. nik
