What’s the best non sulfate shampoo? Using cleansing conditioners found online and pharmacies. Never going back to regular shampoo because it breaks my hair.
My family has been using Wen for about 8 years. I know we started using it before it could be found in Sephora….well…since before our area GOT a Sephora.
You can get it on qvc…& return if you don’t like it. Or you can get it Gunthy Renker..they sell an intro kit. Or Chaz Dean’s own site sells it. And it’s on Amazon too. Prices are different everywhere.
If you are going to give it a try, read which "scent" is best for your hair type. We have found the Pomegranate to be just too moisturizing for our hair, but it’s great for my friend with super curly hair.
You might like the Wen 6-13. And the smell is FABULOUS !
I don’t know how natural, or if it has coconut oil in it (will look so see)…but Feria has a FABULOUS conditioner that I use only when my hair is colored. It is a rich, emollient conditioner that I put on while showering and rinse out when I’m almost done. I have extremely thick, naturally curly hair that will spin out of control if I let it. The Feria works WONDERS on it, but I can’t use it often. It makes your hair soooo shiny and easy to manage and it doesn’t weigh your hair down or make it greasy or gunky (is that a word?) looking!. I think it’s something like 8.00 (before your discount) at Sally’s for a 6 oz tube, but believe me…it lasts forever.
I just put a quarter size dollop in my palm…divide it between my hands and then comb it through my hair really well with my fingers, making sure I get it on the ends. My hair is really thick and long (middle of my back)…so someone with thinner hair would surely be able to use less. Plus…it smells soooooo clean when your hair is dry. It will keep your hair easy to style too.
The name is Feria Professional Moisturizing Color Treatment (by L’Oreal).
Ladyluv..just received a sample! Yes manoi oil is one I have not tried. There’s a few choices in Carols’ daughter. Will definitely take a look. Still have some good supply of my Clairol but now I have so many great options. I think when people recommend things its better than just guessing based on advertisements. Thanks!
Carols Daughter Manoi shampoo and conditioner. I have very fine hair, and other shampoos give me a lot of static. This is very moisturizing and gives me body. I am a hairdresser and have tried every shampoo out there. I love this, I use the manoi oil also, and love it too
Amen ohoh! That’s funny! We use the exact same products in hair care! My friends think this cleanser conditioner is like never washing your hair. One friend bought it ..the Clairol one and didn’t feel clean. I told her that you get used to no suds. She went back to nasty shampoo, feels clean but complaining about a receding hairline and loss. Super silly! I think it cleans amazing but only would love a better scent. I have to use argan leave in for shine after. I started asking about hair products because I wanted something to smell really great and leave my hair shinier. But I think this works pretty amazing and the price? You can’t beat it! But some people here were gracious enough like you to post great feedback! Thanks for sharing ??
Thanks all for the suggestions. I will definitely look into some! For now I found Clairol Herbal Essence cleansing conditioner. It’s under 6 dollars for a great size pump bottle. Mentioning the hairline…funny! I always had bangs because I had a weird shape around my temples and looked receding even at 22 because I remember dating a guy briefly who said wow your balding. Since stopping shampoo many years ago and I am over 50 yrs old, I let the banks grow out because I was ill and couldn’t be bothered to cut them. Well getting better I was ready for a cut but noticed my hairline grown in pretty well. Shocking. Tempted just to let it grow. It wavy, curly like beachy and fine too. Was thinking of Wen because I heard of the essential oils smelling fabulous. I love great smelling hair! When I put on perfume I spray some in the hair and let it settle on my hair. Hair loss scares me. Its thicker now than when I was a kid too. All those ridiculous sulfates back then! I didn’t have a wave until I stopped shampoo and now its out of control…in a good way! Thanks again for some great suggestions! I use organix products from Walgreens. Love the argan oils but the coconut spray is great too. Makes me smell like a pina colada! I used regular coconut oil in the food section and its solid and emulsifies quickly in your hands. I love it and slept in it alot. But it doesn’t have a nice scent and leaves my pillows greasy because whatever I tie on my head comes off! But its the best deep 100% natural conditioner. Rubbed it in my feet and hands. Thinking out loud I should get some and use it in the day when I do chores at home. Ugh …dreading the color application. Really overdue! Have a great Sunday! And of course cheers to health and great hair days!
Almost Any product with coconut and coconut oil is great. My favorite is the SheaMoisture line.
I found a brand at Walgreens that I have been thrilled with. Marc Anthony – both the Oil of Morocco line and the Hydrating Coconut Oil. They are sulfate free, leave my hair very soft, hydrated, conditioned and it’s inexpensive. My hair was very brittle prior to ending the use of shampoo with sulfates.
?´¯`*•.¸¸?Love my Tweak-d, so far, It’s Stellar. Venice, so sorry you are going through this issue, my hair possibly just needed to switch, I take plenty of biotin, Andrew Lessmans Hair Skin, Nai ls, and my hair is not falling, nor breaking, nor is it dulling. No hair dye within 3 years and I have good hair genes, just starting to find a gray, so I wanted to Restore My Hair, and go back to having fun with my hair. It’s naturally curly, no more wen, he’s even doing the dog show now. I even stopped using his oils, and using Club A Argan for shine if needed. Seriously, give the Tweak-d a try, this works:) Wishing you a Super Fabulous Day:)?´¯`*•.¸¸?:womanhappy::heart:
I swear by Wen (another channel), but do add Tweak-d about once a week or so, which I really like too. I have somewhat thin, fine, curly hair that started frizzing more than curling, and got dull. I’ve been off shampoo for about 1 1/2 years now, and after about five months my hairdresser asked what I was doing differently because she said my hair was completely different, not dry and breaking, softer, more shiny, and that I was actually growing a lot of new hair, esp noticeable around my hairline. F’r real! I’m north of 50 (cough, cough), and my hair is in better shape now than at least 10-15 years ago. I will never use shampoo again. I even bring them to the salon. They’re not cheap, but I find they do last a long time and I don’t need many other products. Try to catch them during on-air visits and you can usually get them on specials, or at least with free ship.
