I need help with the subject line. What I have is not only wrinkles but I need tightening on my forehead. Does anyone have an affordable product that will help with that problem?
@babldoll That was good advice for the poster.
I am so sorry for your loss as well…it is the worst thing in the world.
It is 4 months now and just to hard.
I have a few moms I message and they have lost it changes us greatly.
If not for therapy and meds I swear I couldn’t make it…even with that I’m not all there.
At the end of the day we are alone and as a mom we lost part of ourselves …our child.
God Bless you and ty for sharing.
Wishing you all the best and I may try the products you mention :)!
Try micro needling. The bioscience GloPRO is way too pricey, I bought myself a micro needling roller from Amazon for about $20, it’s great. Start with a size one needle and roll it all over your face and neck. It doesn’t hurt, just a slight but nothing major and I don’t like needles at all, my skin is sensitive and I have had no reaction to it, no red bumps or anything. I cleanse my face well beforehand, cleanser first and then a face scrub, then micro needling and follow with a hyaluronic acid product which is great for hydration, followed by a vitamin C product one night and then retinol the next night. I only micro needle once to twice a week but use the VitC or retinol nightly. I’ve see a big difference in my skin. Read up on it first so you know all about it. Make sure you clean the roller well between use so bacteria doesn’t build up. I love ‘The Ordinary’ products as they’re less expensive than other brands and work fabulously.
Marianne, I’m deeply sorry about the loss of your son. Sending you peace and comforting prayers.
Edit : No idea why this didn’t show up under your post.
Aside from Botox…there really is no cream or serum that will help if rather deep since they are dynamic (active) muscles there and used so much and it’s very hard to take them away if “etched” as in being a wrinkle now. Botox can help and if etched in then a strong peel (pro type) may help.
I can’ use retin-a but that may be a good idea as far as the real deal in wrinkle cream as it is an RX it’s harsh for me and even when I was young it was. I’m almost 62 and had Botox for my 11′ s a few times in my life but hated how it made me look..not like ‘me’. but that’s just maybe me. I do indeed need it as my son passed recently and the crying made me have a big dimple at my 11’s but who cares now.
I’m so sad that is last on my list 🙁
Marianne thank you for taking the time to reply. I’m so sorry about your loss of your son and I also lost my son 6 years ago and have been disabled before I lost him and basically sicker since I lost him so I fully understand. That pain is horrible. Whatever your beliefs are perhaps you will allow me to share with you that he is always with you.
For sure after I lost my son I have not taken care of my skin as well as I did prior to that. I used to always be able to put moisturizer on and just a translucent powder, eye makeup and lipstick and had beautiful skin. But I also took very good care of my skin all my life. However, since losing my son things changed and I go through short spurts where I don’t take care of my skin like I used to. I’ll skip a couple days or take short cuts and just cleanse and put a cream on. It takes a little more than that.
But I am starting to do a better job again of taking care of my skin and it’s getting better. I think basically I need to focus on what you said which is a good peel and exfoliate and use tightening creams that are also moisturizing. Firming creams. It won’t take the forehead lines away totally but it should make them softer. I’ve had good luck with my eyes and my 11’s are much softer as well. I found Prai gold eye cream and Elyse eye cream to be wonderful. Her eye gel I use above my brows and shockingly it does tighten the skin on my forehead which I just discovered. There is something in the eye gel that smoothes out the area and helps the skin get thicker. It’s nice to find something that works by accident simply because I like Elyse eye cream around my eyes but not the gel. But I love the gel above my eyebrows and I accidentally applied too much and would carry it up to my forehead and the area that got the gel on it was tighter. Now i spread it across the forehead area. Too expensive to buy more for this but whatever the ingredients are surely she must have a cream with those ingredients or someone does.
Again I’m very sorry for your loss. I relate of course and my son was my world. Hugs!!!!!!
