Christie Brinkley tells it all…Not just her "beauty products"………..
This is comment Christie Brinkley made in People Magazine tells it all.
Looking like Christie Brinkley at 62 years old takes some work.
The legendary supermodel talks about her flawless skin in a new interview with People, and admits to using “a little bit of filler occasionally,” though she avoids Botox. Brinkley also gets Clear and Brilliant laser treatments to fight the effects of aging skin.
“I grew up in Malibu, then my real job of modeling took me to beaches all over the world and under the sun,” Brinkley tells the magazine. “I really am aware of all the sun exposure I’ve had in my life and I’m interested in things that they can do to [reverse the sun’s effects.
My initial response made perfect sense before u edited ur initial post ?! So u think the vendors should tell their HSN customers what all they do besides use their skincare line?
That would not be a wise way to spend air time! In addition to lasers and fillers, there’s diet, vitamins, exercise, sleep, stress…I could go on and on. There r so many factors when it comes to what one’s skin looks like.
A vendor’s job is to sell their skincare by informing the customers why their products will be beneficial.
I admire Christie’s honesty in People mag! U mentioned that not all of her customers will read that article and u wish vendors would tell their customers that they do more than use their line.
Sorry, but I think that is just silly!
I REALLY THINK THAT THIS GENERATION LOOKS ALOT YOUNGER THEN THEIR GRANDMOTHERS. I DONT KNOW MAYBE ITS GREAT SKIN CARE AND STAYING OUT OF THE SUN .COULD BE THE WAY WE DRESS .. THERE IS SO MUCH THAT WOMEN CAN DO THESE DAYS FOR INSTANCE HAIR EXTENSIONS . LONGER HAIR CAN TAKE YEARS OFF .WHAT DO YOU THINK ?
Being REAL honest here: if you truly believe that after say, the age of 50, the skin looks THAT tight, THAT smooth, THAT full and plump, well…. you’re a fool.
The whole point of her line isn’t that it gets RID of those things (because nothing will other than surgery) but to ASSIST in MAINTAINING good skin or the surgery one has had to GET that good skin. It’s the same with Every. Single. Vendor. Just not Chrisite Brinkley.
Look at this way: you buy a new car. Unless you maintain that car, it’s going to show wear and tear as the years go by. You spend good money on good quality products to keep it shiny, super clean, etc. You have it worked on by a mechanic so it will run well; maybe some body work. But you have to maintain the finish and body. Junk products may strip the paint, not keep it as shiny where as some more expensive products will protect and keep it looking good. But when something falls off or starts to hang down, you have to have it fixed.
There ya go… same thing with us as we get older.
? U changed the 1st line of ur post. Now what I said doesn’t make any sense.
Well put….in other words it’s about the $$$$$ and marketing the product. Even though it’s deceiving to the public. I think most are smart enough to know. ??
Most celebrities have work done via injectable fillers, lasers and surgeries. It’s common knowledge and you can usually see it. Now to the ones who sell the beauty products if they told us what they had done we wouldn’t buy them but head straight to the dermatologist!:womanlol::womanlol:
My point was that so many vendors selling beauty products lead us to believe that their looks are from using their products being sold. Yes, in most cases we as consumers know that some maintain their looks using other methods (Boxtox , fillers and even plastic surgery). And some consumers buy the products thinking they will get the same results using the products being sold. Christy Brinkley being honest in a magazine is a lot different from selling beauty products on TV. Not everyone reads the magazine and would know that she maintains her beautiful looks with not just using her products. I think vendors need to be more honest with the public who are buying their products. We as consumers need to do “our” research……….??
Here’s what I think:
1st of all, I love that u shared this tidbit w me, cuz my celeb mag expired awhile ago, and I miss reading the scoop! I love watching Christie Brinkley on HSN…she has a very positive aura and an infectious smile.
Now, I don’t understand the 1st line of ur post. U just told us that she IS being honest w the entire nation about her beauty treatments in Ppl Mag. I think it would be very unprofessional if she were to announce that during an HSN visit, unless asked by a caller. But HSN would probably mute a question like that. Ru saying that she has been asked and wasn’t honest?
Hi I agree completely we all know any body selling beauty creams have had expensive treatments! sam307!
