I don’t think my post in Health & Wellness was seen so I’m moving it over here as it addresses Beauty also.
Thanks for reminding me about the arnica gel. ?. I used it years ago – kept it in my cabinet and it works!:womanhappy:
Arnica can also be applied topically and is safe for pets as well as humans. Boiron is a name brand of good homepathic products and they have a web site.
Hi, I have the same problem with bruising. My excellent dermatologist also said it is from aging and also thinning skin which could be damage as a result of all the time spent in the sun in years past.
I use Dermablend to cover, though it really doesn’t. It does, however, make the bruises less visible. I always feel I use more makeup on my arms then I do on my face! But as someone said, without it I often look like I’ve been beaten up – not a good look!
Chaz Dean, the man behind the WEN haircare brand, makes a body lotion that is excellent for all the reasons a body lotion is used. It is made of all healthy ingredients, i.e. peptides, amino acids, botanicals and extracts, Vitamin K, etc. But what really prompted me to purchase it is that the first ingredient mentioned is ARNICA. This is, IMO, pricey for a body lotion, but it works so well on the bruises, to me now it is worth its weight in gold! In fact, I even have a backup jar cause I do not ever want to run out. The bruises fade to some extent by the very next day after application, and completely disappear much more quickly than they ever did prior to use.
It comes in scented (613) and unscented (319). The scented one is lemon, rosemary and vanilla bean.
I don’t know of any other solutions, but I am happy with this one. It’s sort of like killing two birds with one stone, as I use body lotion every day anyway. If you decide to give it a try, I hope it works as well for you.
Thank you so much for your response to the bruising issue. It is not only very informative but also cleverly funny. I have many times laughingly blamed my husband for my bruises!
I am taking from your response you have not always lived in the States. I know many countries are way above ours in natural remedies. I will certainly look into this.
Also, due to descriptions of her sizes, I guess if you are a size 2 wouldn’t you be like a negative 4 in her jeans??? Do they come in those sizes??? Just saying…
I agree with all of you and as the designer you should actually tell the proper size that you are wearing. I am exactly the same measurements that Diane states she is and I cannot get into an extra small, don’t know how she does. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I sent Diane an email a couple of years ago about how if you purchase her jeans in the right size for your butt then you would get muffin top at your waist. I found "comfort fit" as she calls it in Canada about 4 years ago and let her know where and the shop and asked "why don’t you make jeans like this", then there is NO MUFFIN top. Never heard back but low and behold all of a sudden the top appeared and it really sounds like she is taking the credit for making it. The only difference is the seam for the "brazillian butt lift" as she calls it, but she would have to change something because that comfort waist is trade marked so there would have to be some change to it and I guess another seam did it. And, as another person stated, the quality has gone down, sizing if off, etc etc. I will try one more time and if there is still a problem back they go.
