Beauty Steals. Is this a joke?
$6 off the Too Faced Peach palette set? That under a banner that reads up to 50% off. It wasn’t too long ago HSN offered a number of 50 percent off Beauty deals. Now they hype up a week of “beauty steals” where the price is what it’s been at many points since HSN carried the palette. That kind of false advertising squanders credibility with consumers.
This must be the QVC influence. I don’t like it.
I don’t remember it ever being offered for $49 with mascara. I’ve seen the palette for $49, but not with mascara. Regardless, I can’t see Too Faced allowing HSN or any retailer to discount one of their palettes by 50%. Today they have the peach lip glosses at a great discounted price. I scooped up 4. They smell delicious and very moisturizing without feeling sticky.
Currently, Liberty (QVC parent company) owns 38% of HSN. According to press release, purchasing of additional stock and finalizing deal will be completed at the end of the year. I highly doubt QVC has any influence over pricing or policies at this point. I understand what you’re saying about the peach palette. However, HSN includes a deluxe size mascara which has a retail value of $12.
That $12 mascara doesn’t change the fact that package has been offered many times at that same price. It’s far from a “steal.”
