I have ordered many things from HSN and I have loved the majority of my purchases. Never had a problem. However, Amy Morrison-as lovely as she is-so pretty and always looks great- is beginning to annoy me. I just don’t trust her or believe her. I understand that the bottom line is to generate sales but I have bought from other presentations and have not been disappointed. She is just too over the top-everyting is her favorite, can’t live without, it’s about to be sold out, everything is amazing, etc. Just don’t trust what she says anymore which makes me hesitant to buy.
It’s a tough call for the hosts. They get to try the new products before the shows air and definitely have experienced the products. I wonder what other ways they can sell so many new beauty products if they didn’t say they liked them? I guess being personally connected to having used new skincare and makeup makes the presentations more believable. If they continue to use each one all the time isn’t likely because we gravitate to our favorites. If something works for a host then great but I always know that I might have a different experience. Since HSN allows for a full refund then it’s fun to try new brands. The nice thing about beauty report is the constant of bringing us new products to try at great prices. Since I have no clue about most things I see in retail stores I like discovering the new ones. I love not having to guess what skincare to buy when I go out shopping. I found what I need from HSN and get tons of compliments on my skin without makeup over 50. Before HSN skin care products I never used anything to get near the results I have now and never wanted to leave the house without makeup. I think most of the skincare and makeup is great and have yet to find much I had to return. Thanks HSN and Amy!
Really liked Amy when she started, but change the channel now. I don’t trust her either.
I love Amy and truly enjoy watching her. I think all of the hosts tend to try to generate a sense of urgency and loyalty. Ultimately, they are salespeople. I ignore the remarks because I know it’s part of their job description. Since I am watching with a ‘new’ attitude, I can sit back and enjoy the presentation.
I have that same issue with a few of the hosts, but she takes the cake. Unless she is hosting a guest I really want to check out I never watch her. Obviously everything is not her favorite, etc.
And of course they cant say that they don’t like something but there is a middle ground.
